A believes in Santa and princesses still but has informed me that Mickey and his friends, mermaids, and our Elf on the Shelf are fake. I was surprised she caught on to the Elf so quickly. I thought I had a bit more time for that one at least!

Ruby still believes. I'm hoping kids at school don't ruin it. My nephew is 9 and still believes so I hope we still have awhile! Not ready for her to grow up!!
My 10 year old still kind of believes I think - I did a quick survey of all his friends who celebrate Christmas last year and they all still believed as well. I think it makes a difference that most of his friends are Jewish/don't celebrate Christmas, so his entire life he has known and had relationships with many people who don't believe in Santa, so he takes it in stride when people say Santa is fake, lol.
I also believe in the "never admit it" way of doing things. When he has asked (in roundabout ways) I just say "well, I don't know, but I know I believe in the magic of Christmas, and the magic of being together and showing our love at Christmas". I mean, I still get gifts from Santa from my dad and I'm 40. Never give up, never surrender!

We ran into the big guy yesterday at Walmart.
Here is Daniel asking him straight out if he's the REAL Santa
He was really shocked by the question but recovered quickly, he said he was one of Santa's helpers sent from the North Pole. Daniel accepted that.
Last year one of the kids in his daycare class said he touched his elf and it still moved so it's not real, I told Daniel that every night before I go to bed I sprinkle our elves with magic healing dust just to make sure if someone accidentally touched them they would still be able to do their job.
They have a classroom elf this year who arrived today I guess. Ours aren't coming until the 1st.
I thought they usually believe until they are like 9! but I'm probably being naïve lol.
I thought so too! A started questioning things last year like how does Santa fit down the chimney, how do reindeers fly, etc, but she believed all my answers. This year she just flat out said "mom, I know the elf and its book are fake" and I was like ummmm.. I didn't know what to say lol because it wasn't a question! She still believes in Santa though but idk if she will after this year
Yes, he still believes, but has started asking about some of the logistical questions. I have a feeling the kids on the bus will try to ruin it for him though He already talked to Santa at an event we went to and seemed satisfied with the answers he received, lol.
I forget if I read it her, or saw it somewhere else but I liked the idea of letting your kids in on the secret that they're ready to become santa too and can help spread the Christmas cheer.
B has been questioning since last year. A couple weeks ago he said he “just knows” Santa is not real and that it’s Mom and Dad that get the presents and put them under the tree He also asked some logistical questions and I just denied everything and said something about Santa’s magic. I ordered a book that was recommended by a work friend that is supposed to have all the “facts” about Santa. My friend said her oldest kids still believed in 7th and 8th grade and still love to read the book and never question it. Our elf came the day after Thanksgiving and that has seemed to help. He was super excited and woke me up to tell me that it came. So hopefully the elf and Santa book will help keep the magic alive.

What's the name of that nook? I want my kids to believe forever!
Mine still do! They got really concerned when we were house shopping that not all of the houses had fireplaces and that, unlike Colorado, Texas didn’t have snow. They were worried about the reindeer getting hot ❤️

What do you mean “believe” in princesses?? We’ve always told Peyton her show and movie characters are fictional. I don’t need her thinking any of that is real. Haha. But for sure Santa is still going strong. The elf I think she suspects a little. We haven’t pulled him out yet. We’ve been slacking. I feel like kids are “finding out” about Santa sooooo early these days?! I believed till I was nearly 8. And it was only ruined because my teacher made an oops. Otherwise I had no idea or suspicion!

A legit believes Moana, Tiana, etc are real people! I think seeing them at Disney made her think they're real. She thinks they all live at Disney lol. She does not think Disney Jr people and Micky/Minnie are real because "they didn't talk to me" when she met them at Disney.

Both girls do. L is terrified of him. She opted out of having her picture taken with him this year. I didn’t know how bad her fear was until we called the santas voice mail.
M got to visit the Santa at therapy yesterday. He was amazing. She sat on his lap and talked and told him jokes for 5 minutes. I love that she gets to visit the sensory santa there.
