Well, I have a boy. But he is the same age, and only giving me ideas for things that are way outside of our budget. (laptop, $500 lego sets, and $1000 RC cars).
So he is actually getting:
A new bike Imagine Dragons shirt and CD The book "Wonder" Tickets to see a group of magicians that he really likes Under Armour sweatshirt Some sort of game or puzzle
I don’t have a list from my kids either. DD is 8 and she just said she wants the Lol big surprise. Ugh. Luckily H found one on Amazon today.
Other than that we will get her a book, clothes or accessories, and I want to get her something for her room like a fun pillow. We may get her small hatchimals for the stocking.
For my 11 year old: Earings and we’ll allow her to get her ears pierced Hamilton tickets (she’s a Hamilnerd) Clothes Art supplies that I will have to ask her art teacher about because I’ve never heard of what she’s asking for Books Volleyball gear and we’ll let her know she is going to a volleyball clinic at the University of Michigan.
HA!!! My almost 9 year old has the most ridiculous, long list ever, and she keeps editing it every day!
Here are some of her ideas: tablet (they don't have them yet as we have been very old-school about it) Playmobil sets Lego sets Programmable robot (Dash) Blank books with blank covers for making her own books EVERYTHING AMERICAN GIRL. She would like the contents of the entire catalog.
Other ideas I had but will probably not need b/c of her extensive list: Sleeping bag jewelry box earrings snow sled new bike helmet ninja-line thingy for backyard and/or new items for swingset
How much do you hate yourself? I saw a lotion and soap making kit (including glitter) at Sam's today for $20. I can't imagine the mess it would make, but I think many girls that age would love it!

Perhaps a good gift to send to grandma's!
My sisters keep gifting this type of mess to my daughter and it makes me want to smack them every time.

My sister always gives similarly obnoxious gifts. She never planned to have kids, so she wasn't worried about payback.
She's due in Feb. My SIL and I have been scheming since we found out! Payback, sis! And it's a boy...even easier, IMO, to find ridiculously obnoxious gifts!
Lucy (almost 8) is getting: a couple LOL balls (ugh), a Barbie camper (which she seems old for, but whatever, she was passionate about it lol), a bed for her AG doll, some AG doll clothes, a mermaid tail blanket and a fingerling.

Dd is 9 She’s getting Hatchimal twins
We are redoing her room in a Paris theme so pretty much everything for her room is a gift. New bedding and Paros decor stuff.
All things bath/makeup! She is obsessed with bath bombs so she’s getting a bunch. I picked up some justice makeup stuff on sale.
Justice clothes - Paris and the sports she’s into
My mom got her a fujimax instant Camera. She seemed pretty interested when it came up as an idea. I think we are going to eventually turn my old iPhone into a touch for her. She can use that for digital pics. But I think she’ll like the instant ones for something different.
Jewelry. I found this Etsy seller that does custom earrings from pictures. I got ones made of our cat when she was a kitten. She’s going to love them!!

My BIL and SIL got my kids a glitter SET 3 years ago. Legit 36 different individual containers of glitter. I hid that $hit immediately in my closet. They now have 2 babies and I can't wait to return the favor 👍
My brother's serious girlfriend has an 11 year old daughter who I only met this year, but needed to buy a gift for since she'll be at Christmas. I ended up getting her a Doodle Crate subscription yesterday. That one is more art based, but they have a science based crate for the same age range, as well. They were running a 60% of the 1st month promo yesterday, and I was able to use it again today when I ordered a Koala Crate subscription for my daughter. Code is cybermonday.
Thanks for all the great gift ideas! Anybody familiar with the game Escape the Room? It was mentioned on another website and just not too familiar with it.
