I just finished a decent sized order of 11 ornaments and 5 Santa sacks today.
Alexander threw up a bunch Friday night/Saturday morning then was fine the rest of Saturday and Sunday. Last night he got sick in bed again so I kept him home today. I will cry if he pukes again tonight. My nerves can't handle this. When I asked him what he wanted to eat tonight he said nothing (but are fine all day). I'm not forcing it, less vomit to clean up if he does get sick again I guess.
I am 95% finished with my Christmas shopping and it was done almost entirely from my couch. Everyone else will be relatively easy, but I'm drawing a blank on what to get my SIL's group. There's seven so I've ended up doing a family gift the last few years and I've run out of ideas! Ages 17 to almost 7.

I hope last night was the bug's last hurrah and you guys are done with all the puking for now!

H has been in his bed for a few nights now. He's actually sleeping better now than he did in his crib! It's amazing, I expected the opposite lol.
I need to figure out how to remove wall paper by Christmas break as that is my goal to get that removed from our bathroom. Anyone have any awesome tricks?! I've never taken any off before, it's about 2 years old so its pretty new.
sandj82110, Hope he is better tonight! H frequently throws up like 24 hours after I think he is done with a stomach virus, and always in the middle of the night, I'm not sure what causes it but he usually doesn't do it again after that.

G was like that too once we converted his toddler bed to the full size version. It was like once he had enough room to sprawl out he could sleep.
We just got home yesterday, and thank you time change - I'm up with 5 am with E. Going the other direction the kids were sleeping until 8:30/9:00 when they're normally up at 7:00 on the dot.
@lindy my sister and I removed 50+ year old wallpaper from my parents house when I was in high school and what worked best was soaking it with hot water from a spray bottle so it scraped off easier. But mainly a lot of patience and muttering nasty words under our breath ...
Colt has been in a bad habit of waking up at 4am yelling for me, and so I bring him to bed with us which he loves. Last night, he woke up again, but I turned on the hallway light, rubbed his back, and he went back to sleep. Yay! Cross your fingers this keeps happening.
Today is B’s first day back to K after 6 days off. I really hope it’s not a huge shit show as I think it will be a struggle for him to get back in the routine.
I have started working out with a personal trainer to try to lose some of this weight. He literally kills me. I’m only going one day a week, but trying to go to the gym a couple more times a week too.
I’m hanging out with the baby and installing closet systems while the big kids are in school. Poor kid hit the triple sickness crown over Thanksgiving— viral/bacterial/fungal infections all at the same time (hand/foot/mouth, double ear infection, and a bad diaper rash with yeast).
Plus his current hair situation is making him look a little like Ace Ventura 🤣

It's my last week of maternity leave😭. I've been off work for 6 months eek. I'm going in today to meet with teachers to plan for next week. I work with special education students and I go into classrooms for reading and math to pull groups. I'm also trying to unpack from our week long trip to my parents and clean the house.
I'm not feeling too great, it is either allergies or a cold but I am stuffy with a sore throat. Baby is at my mother in laws today so I have been able to rest.
@lindy honestly, a steamer works best. See if there's a local store that rents them out. I know our local true value hardware does but they have a lot of rental items.
H took his parent's steamer 11 years ago and it was old when we got it but it worked so well. I had prednisone rage (day 2 of a taper course) and got sick of our bathroom wallpaper. I took off the wallpaper, sanded, primed, and painted (I even went to the store to by send paint and primer) and had it completed before H came home from work (he worked 12 hours that day). After he came home and saw it, he was like I guess we have a purple bathroom huh. Best rage ever.
PDQ. I'm trying to figure out how to deal with a daycare incident this afternoon in which a ribbon ended up wrapped around Gs neck. It was evidently tight enough to still leave a mark when I picked him up. His little friend was in "trouble" for doing it, but I think I'm more bothered by the fact that it wasn't noticed until G brought it to the teachers attention. Fwiw, all the school age kids are in one large room with generally one teacher.
This DC is kind of BEC with me and I'm not sure if I'm over or under reacting.
Littlest bear is on the mend and the brothers seem to be in the clear.
Need to go get me drivers license today. It’s a drag, but at least I get to try out all my new make-up!
I’m... not in love with the color I picked for the boys room. It’s way brighter than I thought it would be. I’m hoping I can get Sherwin Williams to tone it down with some purple or gray.
I need to put the brakes on my baking list. I keep coming across delicious looking cookie recipes but I don’t have enough friends to give them to!
I’m kind of stuck on my Christmas list. All I really want are some houseplants and frames to make a gallery wall. Just throw in some slippers and tea and I’m officially a grandma.
DD has impetigo. Her nose went from being kind of red last night, to suspicious looking this am, to looking bad at lunch. No school tomorrow for her now and she cried when the doctor told her she had to stay home tomorrow. She went from refusing to get out of the car at the end of last school year to loving school so much.
Blake asked a friend at school to play with him yesterday at recess!! This is huge because I’ve been very worried about his social skills. All the kids in his class like him, and he likes them, but he doesn’t interact or play with them much from what I’m told (Of course he can tell me what shirt everyone wore every day though lol). But yesterday, he asked Emma if she would play with him at recess and she said yes, took his hand, and they played together the whole recess. It really brought tears to my eyes to hear that. Kindergarten has been a struggle this year in more ways than one, and I’m glad he’s taking baby steps to keep progressing.
But then at PM recess, I guess Liam asked him to play and he said ‘No’ and ran away. Lol.
Freaking first world problems: had family pictures scheduled for the Saturday after thanksgiving, but Will broke out with hand/foot/mouth rash all over his face a few days before so I rescheduled for tomorrow. Yesterday Henry starts breaking out with a rash around his face so I just rescheduled for a second time. Hopefully we can get our Christmas cards out before Valentines Day.
Also, our julenisse arrived last night 😁 Their names are Alf and Asa Frieda.
Ugh I just realized I forgot H's speech appointment this morning. I thought it was Thursday all day until my mom called and asked me how it went. Fail. I texted to apologize, but still feel bad.
Booked most our trip to Disneyland yesterday! Doing 2 nights at a hotel across the street, then 2 nights at the Disneyland hotel with some friends. Then we're hoping to do 4 nights at the Legoland hotel and do that and the beach while down there. You have to pay the entire hotel upfront at the Legoland hotel and it's non-refundable, I hate hotels like that!
Man 5 is not a good age lol. A came home with 5 holes in her shirt that she cut and then ran to her room, yelled I need new parents, and slammed the door!
