I found it odd as well. Not an educator but a licensed professional looking at a job opening in my kids school. Someone said that may not be allowed. I am hoping they are mistaken.
Not in our district. I have had two co-workers in the past few years whose kids have gone to our school and one friend who transferred specifically to work at her kid’s school.
My school has lots of faculty children. I plan to send my kids there too (it's our neighborhood school). When I worked in private school, they allowed and encouraged faculty children to attend (and offered a massive tuition break for employees).

No. Generally we don’t have parents teach their own children (in elementary, before there is only one teacher per subject), by there have been exceptions
Most of our staff live in the district, where else would their kids go? And you kind of want staff who’s invested in the community.
I don't think so. My kids go to my school and there are about 20 other faculty parents. I think it's encouraged.
That said, I will only teach them in the years there is no other option (I am the only 8th grade history teacher, so they'll have me in 8th, but I share 7th, so they'll get the other teacher in 7th)
