I was diagnosed with conjunctivitis yesterday after work. Fun times! The doctor thinks it's probably the allergic kind and I'm okay to be around people, but he gave me antibiotic ointment to use for 3 days to be on the safe side. I'm terrible at putting things in my eyes. Anyone have tips for how to get ointment into your eyes?
tiramisu, gah!! I HATE conjunctivitis! Is it liquid, like a drop?
No, it's actual ointment. I have drops for eye allergies now too and those felt really good when I used them yesterday. Ointment is TOUGH! Especially because I'm bad at putting anything in my eyes.

Ugh, sorry. I don't have an experience with ointments.

tiramisu , I get the dropper in position while looking in the mirror, brace my wrist against my cheek, then tilt my head back and squeeze the dropper. The feeling doesn't bother me, though...I just have trouble aiming! I feel like I've heard parents say they put the drop in the corner of the eye (maybe?) and then when the kid blinks, it will kind of run into the eye naturally, but I'm not entirely sure how that works.... ETA: sorry, I just saw you said it was an ointment. Idk how to do that....
I'm dragging. I was up at 3 am so that I could finish the project whose deadline was moved up. I'm working with people in a time zone 8 hrs later, so I needed to be able to get real-time responses from them. I got everything submitted by shortly after 7 am, though, so that was good.
Ointment for eyeballs, wtfffff. I don't have advice, sorry tiramisu.
Bf and I spent most of last night laughing at our weird language and mannerisms we've developed around each other. It was a really sweet night. Lots of snuggling and laughing is a wonderful evening in my book.
I also developed a budget for paying off debt in the coming few years. Scared of it but also hopeful. Once it is gone, there will be so much money to save for travel, buying a house, etc. Or a wedding!

Crap. I screwed up at work. I submitted a bunch of abstracts for scientists to attend a conference. Somehow, I managed to submit the conclusion of abstract B with the introduction, materials and methods, and results of abstract A. So, abstract A got rejected because the conclusion made no sense (because it was for something else entirely!). They were submitted over a month ago, but the notifications just came out now. I emailed the conference organizer, threw myself on his mercy, and asked if he would reconsider abstract A with the proper conclusion. I then had to email our prime (we're a subcontractor for this project) and my project manager to clue them in on the mistake. It's not a huge deal in the long run, but I feel terrible that the scientist who wrote abstract A might not get to go to the conference because of my mistake (monetary support for attendance is normally based on the abstract being accepted).
Hugs udscoobychick. For both ointment and drops, I use my pointer finger and thumb to gently pinch my lower lid to create a "pocket", and then I put the meds in that little gap, release, and blink a couple times to distribute.
M finished his worst season at work (8am Monday through about 2am on Tuesday. Yay, cyber monday hell!) and I actually got to see him for the evening - first time since thanksgiving with his family (because he had to go in to work right after we had Thanksgiving dinner together). We attempted to pick music for the wedding, which was both sweet and hilarious as we both sat there with laptops playing each other random songs.

Yes! The conference director let me edit and re-submit the abstract with the proper conclusion. Fingers crossed that it is accepted this time! (It should be--it's one of the better ones, frankly.)
Thanks ladies for the ideas! I've been pulling my bottom eyelid down and trying to put it into that pocket, then close my eyes/blink a lot to try to get it to distribute.

I have to say, I love it when I'm reading recipe reviews and the person is like "I changed 20 things about this recipe including ingredients and altering the cooking method. It was awesome/terrible!"
How can you appropriately review a recipe if you aren't making it the way it was written?? LOL.
Work is crazy and picking up the PT job is killing me. Best news ever: my primary job is giving me a raise to cover my bring home at the PT job so I can quit the PT job. I’m turning in my notice tomorrow and am considering just working out next week and being done. It will depend on if the following week’s schedule is done or not.
I’m pretty sure I’m the lowest paid manager at my company, but we are starting a profit sharing program next year, so I feel like I’m positioning myself well.
