My family does a real tree. Just about everyone else I know does fake. I like going to look for it (although it's more fun if you live in a place where you can go cut it down yourself. And the watering and sweeping are really not a big deal to me. This weekend, I put my mom's tree up for her. She complains that my dad never does it until Dec 23rd or later. When he puts it away, he just puts it up in the attic. So to put it up, I just had to bring it down and put two pieces together. I can definitely see the appeal of that!
Fake tree. We always had a fake one growing up because my mom's allergic to them and I'm allergic to poinsettias so fake all around. We always end up travelling to see family and friends throughout December and I don't think a real tree would survive.
We wrap presents. I use gift bags for other people, but normally still wrap the gift in tissue paper. When I was little, wrapping paper was too expensive so my parents would save the comics and wrap all our presents in comic paper. Now they still wrap the special presents in comic paper because we all missed the comics! T
We do real - I love it and did it growing up. The past 3 years we have cut it from a local tree farm which I also love doing.
As for gifts - I wrap everything. Again this is what I did growing up and can't imagine it another way. One tradition I do miss is tossing the wrapping paper into the fire. We have a pellet stove so I can't do that anymore! :-(
Fake tree. Idk if its normal but we got so much sap on the floor as a kid, I also don't want to risk getting water damage to our new wood floors watering a real tree.
I wrap everything, even though I'm horrible at it.
Fake tree: DHs family tradition is to put it up the second thanksgiving is over and my family tradition is to leave it up until epiphany. A real tree would be kindling after all that time, so we compromised on a nice prelit artificial.
I wrap the square stuff and bag the odd shaped stuff. I’d rather spend my Christmas prep time baking or making presents, so I keep the wrapping simple.

Real tree! nannerl we usually put ours up Black Friday and take it down on the epiphany. It is getting dry by the end, but still always looks good.
I try to wrap as much as possible because I think the kids enjoy it more. We got our first fake tree last year from a neighbor that was going to throw it out. Last year we had both the fake and real tree up. This year I’ve been lazy and we haven’t bought our real tree yet, but the fake one is upstairs. L keeps asking to go get our real one
Real tree for us. I always had them growing up and H always had fake. We did a fake tree for the first two years we were married because H thought it was easier. I hated it. I finally convinced him to get a real one and he actually admitted it was easier. I can’t keep any other plant alive, but I water that Christmas tree thoroughly and somehow manage to keep it alive through Epiphany lol.
I wrap all gifts from us and Santa gifts are unwrapped. I’m not good at wrapping and am lazy so unwrapped ftw! And my Santa gifts were always unwrapped as a kid.

We have had a fake tree the last few years. Growing up, we only had flocked, so no watering and minimal needle shedding. I really miss going to pick out our tree and want to get a real, non flocked tree just once. I love wrapping presents. I have different Santa paper, but large gifts are put together and topped with a bow.
Real, absolutely real. We have 4 cut your own places within 10 miles. There's also several places to tag a tree without cutting it yourself. There's something about meandering through a field of trees for an hour trying to find the one calling to you. We always get a Frasier as it doesn't bother my allergies.
We wrap presents. Santa has specific red and white striped paper and we have our own paper. Presents we give the kids are in their own character Christmas paper so no need for tags for those.

I’m jealous of your many tree cutting opportunities!
We also get to pick out our turkey from a farm closer to us than the trees. I feel the need to buy local since we have the privilege of being able to go to the source for our goods.

We do fake tree only because I’m not willing to shell out $40+ dollars on something so it can sit an die in my house. We do a mixture of wrapped and bags. I prefer wrapped and try my best to wrap as much as I can. Only soft/tricky stuff I put in bags. I even wrap stocking stuffers. Oh and Santa uses his own paper. He uses paper with Santa on it.
Somehow I've ended up with one 10 foot real tree and two smaller fake tress this year. I'm guessing now that I've gone to three trees, there's no going back.
We do fake, we always had fake growing up as my stepdad's house was destroyed by a Christmas tree fire when he was younger. Obviously it was a long time ago and electricity has come a long way and fires aren't as much of a concern anymore but I like it fake, not having to worry about all the needles and watering and then getting rid of it and everything.
We wrap everything unless it's oddly shaped I might just sit it there with a bow and say it's from Santa.
In our house in Canada we did 4 fake trees and one real tree, that’s the one we put all our fun ornaments and where we have the presents, the fake trees were more themed. Here we just have fake because I generally put it up early November and a real tree just can’t lsst that long. We don’t have space here for multiple trees.
I wrap everything, Santa has his own paper and he leaves his gifts off to the side. I also wrap all stocking stuffers.
