Pawtucket, R.I. (AP) — Fans at two Pawtucket Red Sox ballgames this season won't be getting any peanuts or Cracker Jacks. The team announced Thursday it will offer two peanut-free days this season at McCoy Stadium. Team president Mike Tamburro tells WJAR-TV the games on May 24 and Aug. 3 will give fans with peanut allergies, especially children, a chance to enjoy the ballpark. Tamburro says the environment will be totally peanut free. Each seat in the ballpark will be disinfected to ensure there is no peanut residue and no foods will be made using peanut oil. The team says it will also have security guards at the gates to make sure nobody brings in their own peanuts.
The Twins have held games where just one section is peanut free. It always seems to go over well from what I've heard. I've never seen them do all sections at a game though.
:Y: love the PawSox! Grew up going to games (remembering watching Mo Vaughn LOL). I think having 2 peanut free games is a great idea! Farm teams are such a fantastic option for family fun

The Paw Sox are great. I am hoping to go to a game this year. The tickets are like $10 and sometimes you can see actual Red Sox players that are recuperating from the DL. The stadium is small and you can actually see the field, unlike at Fenway.
