That sounds SUPER frustrating! Can you call/email the engineer directly to get an idea of when he'll be able to sign off, or find out if there are any concerns he has you can address now?
Ugh, that is super frustrating. And sadly, par for the course with local government. We have a bunch of small and large projects that have been delayed for a variety of reasons, mostly due to the slow pace of various members of town hall. I hope you get this resolved soon.

We had to get our local alderman involved to get a permit. They were just so slow and dragged their feet and like you said they only meet so often. Is there any state official you can involve?
As a side note, we play Pokémon go. And I’ve seen Pat Jehlen so many times because she does as well.
And I just got a call from the builder, you must be good luck @mrswax They need to plow out the site this week and hopefully next week the existing house will be torn down. Keep your fingers crossed for us that temps won't go back down to the teens or below!
Oh I didn't realize you bought a house, I thought it was just a lot! Interesting! Fingers crossed the temps stay above freezing for a while
So can we see floor plans ? I love finding out all the things my house is missing. You’re doing surround sound right?
This is a whole other part of the saga. I'll have to tell you guys about it in more detail when we next do a GTG--too convoluted to type out. We've had to make some changes and are hoping the final, final plans are available either later this week or next week. If I can figure out a way to share them, I will.
We're going to have it wired for surround in the living room, but we're not doing a whole-home system.
And your place is awesome, anything else would truly be like an extra cherry on top.
We definitely need a GTG to discuss! And yes, liveintheville, your place is baller already girl!
