I have dye in my hair right now and am about to wash it out. My company holiday party is tonight and we all get fancy. Tomorrow I'm volunteering at an event for a little bit on Saturday that's about trauma-informed care and encouraging resilience. That's about it for now. Probably also finalizing and wrapping presents so I can ship them out to NJ soon.


I still haven't talked with the guy to let him know I don't think it's going to work. I'm being such a chicken.

Layoffs started yesterday so work is just insane. I really need to focus on self-care now and in the future.

Nothing much planned for the weekend. P is doing guys' night at the house tonight so my plan is to steal some beer, snacks and pizza and lay in bed watching netflix.

My cleaning lady just showed up an hour late. I am mentally giving her a side eye.

I am SO over work today. I have a ton to do, but all I want to do is print out our wedding seating cards and take a nap, LOL. I just booked myself into our wedding location's spa for the entirety of Friday afternoon next week - I'm just going to steam room/sauna/massage/nail polish it up

chalupa I can't blame you for just wanting to focus on the wedding. It's so close now!!! Good call on booking yourself a full spa day, too. You deserve it.

I don't think I have anything planned at all this weekend, which is glorious! I'm on call tonight and wouldn't mind going out since I could use the money, but no biggie if I don't. I have boring adult stuff to manage over the weekend and I'm secretly hoping DD doesn't come home this weekend so I can just enjoy the quiet.

I am hanging out with a friend tonight. Tomorrow I will be going to go to a friends Christmas party.

Screw it. I'm halfway done with seating cards right now, and my other signs are all queued up to print. Thank goodness for Etsy and templates!

Also, have I mentioned our guestbook skis? I'm ridiculously excited to mount a set of vintage skis on our wall after the wedding.

There is also a little wooden sled to act as a platform for the cake.

I can't keep it together today. This week just needs to be over.

Work isn't great. I have a new VP who is not pleased with me right now. He had some expectation that wasn't communicated to me very well and I certainly did not meet it.

Luke is dying. Now Bob is sick.

I can't leave the dogs to go shopping for supplies for my progressive dinner. Not that I really want to go to the grocery storm because it's snowing so I'm betting all of Atlanta is at the grocery store right now. My company holiday party is cancelled because of the weather.

I just want to crawl back into bed.

I had a hectic morning...we have a new program manager taking over at our prime, and she's a bit of a micromanager, and is currently questioning EVERYTHING about our process (which has been working well for 3+ years and is approved by the client). So, was putting out lots of fires from her.

DH and I were supposed to go gliding tomorrow, but it doesn't look like the weather is going to cooperate. I'm secretly happy about this, as I have a lot of baking to do this weekend. I need to go to the store tonight, though, because it's supposed to snow overnight...it's going to be a zoo.
