It’s snowing!
H is currently putting plastic up on our screen porch so I can still read outside with a little heater on. I’m excited it’s finally snowing! Now it feels like Christmas. I’m torturing DH today by making him watch Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas and other Christmas movies.
We have our fire company Christmas party tonight. I need to finish my hair and pick up the ugly sweater my mom bought me. I also need to finish my nails for tonight. Luckily the party isn’t until 7pm so I have lots of time to get stuff done.
I feel like it's snowing everywhere else in Texas EXCEPT where I live. womp womp.
I'm not bouncing back from my egg retrieval as quickly as I did last time. of course, we stimulated even more, so I'm getting OHSS symptoms already. my belly hurts and it looks like I did when I was about 14 weeks pregnant. but I can breathe and I can eat and drink, so yay.
((Hugs)) pooh8402. I hope you feel better soon! Did I miss an update? How did the retrieval go?
One trick pony here- still sick. I think I slept a little better last night but coughed a ton still. And every time I was finally sleeping well L woke up crying 🙁.
I did convince DH to take C to the park while L naps. But instead of resting I got a lot of cleaning done. I still need to vacuum and wash our sheets. And go to the grocery store for stuff to make burritos for dinner. I am planning to nap when the boys nap this afternoon.
No plans for the weekend except to try to get healthy. L is also congested so I am praying hard he stays healthy, which would be a miracle at this point because I have coughed so much while nursing him at bedtime and MOTN.
I updated on TTTC, but not here. 24 eggs retrieved, 18 mature, and as of this morning, 13 are fertilized and beginning to grow.
We had hoped for natural fertilization, but with DH's anti-sperm antibodies, that wasn't happening, so the embryologist had to inject each egg with a sperm. Just like last time.
I feel like I’ve accomplished a decent amount this weekend.
Friday, I cleaned the kitchen and dining room, cleared out and reorganized the pantry, and did two loads of laundry.
Today, H and I took a quick trip to the Christmas tree farm where we got married. We ended up deciding to use our fake tree this year instead of getting a real one, but we did get a nice wreath while we were there.
We spent the afternoon at FIL’s, then came home, made cookies, and now we’re watching Logan Lucky.
Unsure on plans for tomorrow, other than grocery shopping and more baking. We want to make banana bread, pumpkin bread, and sugar cookies.
pooh8402- I hope the OHSS symptoms don't last too long.
luv2rn4fun- I hope you and your household get better soon.
katespade- can you please come up and visit me. I'll pay for your trip if you want to be productive here.
@@@@ Since I last posted about DD she got worse so we took her to a doctor. She ended up having an ear infection as well as a sinus infection. She is now on antibiotics, ventolin (luv2rn4fun, giving this puffer is no joke! Ugh.) and hydrosense. After 3 days on the antibiotics she is feeling much better. Aside from this she is also transitioning from 1 nap to 2. Fun fun
We are spending this weekend catching up on laundry, and cleaning before I go back to work tomorrow.
Low key weekend here, just normal housework stuff. We did go to my friend's Christmas party last night and ate a ton of delicious food! Finally got caught up on wrapping today, need to finish Christmas cards next.

((Hugs)) awick14. Sorry to hear about your DD. The thing that has finally worked for L taking the inhaler without acting like I am killing him is giving him my phone and singing to him (he is laying on the floor and I position myself so I can block his hands as needed). It took a long time to figure this out but it has worked consistently this week! I hope you find your DD’s currency soon! Also, is she really going from 1 nap to 2 naps or the reverse? L is still taking 2 naps (this is right when C dropped to 1) and I am hoping I can delay the transition til next month LOL.
Still crazy sick. So over this cold. I really need to get a new inhaler, it would probably help a little. I haven’t needed one in years though and would hate to spend the money if this is the only time I need it, especially since this is a crazy expensive month between Christmas and C’s bday.
I did take C out for a little walk (actually had him walk so it was slow and easy for me) and then we all walked to Starbucks. I ordered Christmas cards this morning (first time ever) and they are done already so planning to go to Walmart, Costco, and in n out once the boys are up (cards at Costco, need stuff at Walmart, need a gift card at in n out and night as well get dinner while we are there...everything is close together so might as well get it all done at once).
I also just found out that my BFF is pregnant with #3. They conceived their kids via IUI (and had a loss between her DS and DD). This one was conceived naturally! I am so excited for them but also a little sad because I would love a third but I am pretty sure DH is done. He did make a comment that my friend has a lot of help so a third seems more reasonable for them...so I jokingly asked that if his parents moved (he thinks they would help a lot) then he would consider another? He didn’t say no but also didn’t say yes.
Dh is able to give the puffer to her with minimal crying and even if I try to do the exact same things she screams for me. So dh is now doing the puffer for now.
