I'm trying to decide if I'm reasonably annoyed with grown women calling potential dates boys.
Meh. If someone says "women and boys," that's derogatory, but "girls and boys," they just like the diminuative for whatever reason. I hate it when "girls' slips out of my mouth, but it still does every now and then, so I try not to let it mean too much when someone else does it.

I think I started getting uncomfortable calling guys "boys" around the age they started objecting to being called that. Around, say, 17ish. There's nothing in the world that takes itself more seriously than a human male in its late teens.
