What do YOU want for the holidays?

H wants to know what I want for Christmas. We set a budget of $150 (to include a gift under the tree and stocking stuffers -- he typically gets me candy, lip balm, coffee beans, fuzzy socks, etc.). I put a few random things on my Amazon list -- a calendar, a sketchbook for work, a new travel coffee mug. Nothing very exciting. He's not happy with those suggestions. I can't think of anything, though!

So, what do YOU want? Maybe something will inspire me.

I need new work pants, so I guess a gift card for them.

I asked my family for Tarte concealer sticks and a self-inking return address stamper.

MH and I are just doing stockings for each other, so probably small/inexpensive stuff.

I hear those Barefoot Dreams cardigans are really nice. Maybe I’ll buy myself one after the holidays.

But that's not happening so I'd settle for a $100 Michael Kors bag I saw online at Macys. Except when I went to order, it's sold out.

My current work bag is a free tote I got at Sally's when I bought some hair straighteners a few years ago. I need to upgrade.

I can always think of a bunch of small things but because you'd have to run around to a bunch of different stores for them my husband is not likely to get them. And he doesn't really online shop. I set him up with his own Amazon account on my Prime membership but he accidentally ordered under mine so I got the email receipt and know what it is, sigh.

things I've thought of so far:
- new insulated straw cup
- new socks (I like the notes to self kind at Hallmark www.hallmark.com/gifts/fashion-and-accessories/socks-and-shoes/notes-to-self-i-am-strong-socks-C012WCM.html)
- new Bible (this is what he ordered on Amazon that I already know about)

and then gift cards usually round it out. I really buy whatever I want so I'm probably hard to shop for. Biggest gift is that he agreed on the vacation I wanted next year at an all inclusive even though it was not his first choice!!

I know DH got me two "premium" mystery boxes from my subscription company. Actually he got one and his mom got the other. Inwas going to suggest a new light fixture from her. We need to replace the one in the foyer (FUGG) and the one in the dining room we don't use as a dining room (SUPERFUGG and too low hanging for a reading nook). Oh well...

Honestly the thing I’m looking forward to most this Christmas is a full night of sleep and a weekend of no chores. We are visiting my ILs and they are awesome. DD makes a peep at night or early in the morning and they come running and order us to go back to bed.

Gift-wise I want an electric hand mixer and a new pair of sneakers.

What am I getting? None of that. There is literally nothing material I want this year. I did finally ask for a new planner, socks with grippers, a Kendra Scott necklace, and a Too Faced eye shadow pallet.

I really want a few gadgets that I keep putting off buying - a garment steamer, an electric wine bottle opener, a spot cleaner for the couch and my ultimate wish list item, a Roomba (or equivalent robotic vacuum).
Essentially, I’m looking for things this Christmas that make my life easier.

I couldn't figure out if I wanted a new FitBit or an Apple Watch, I think MH will get me the latter. I am a little worried that I will be constantly looking at it and the notifications. Let's hope that my minuscule attention span isn't further wasted away.

I told Calvin in October that I wanted earrings with Hobbes' birth stone for Christmas.  I was pretty specific:  I wanted drop earrings, lever back not post, and white gold.  I pointed him to a pair of earrings that I inherited from my mom as an example - they are lever back, tiny pear shaped emeralds in yellow gold.  I said I'd like them a little bigger than those, and I wanted the citrine to be on the yellow end rather than the darker end.

I know he wants me to like them, but I also should I specified:  I don't want to shop for them.  Yesterday we were still discussing and finally I got to a point where I said, here are 3.  I like them all.  I don't want to decide, and from here on out, part of the gift is that I don't have to do anything further.  I have bought and wrapped every gift for every other person on our family's list.  I want to not have to do me too!!

For my birthday i asked for a new camera lens I wanted and it has been a great present. I use it all the time and love it.

If I didn’t need anything I would probably ask for a massage or gift cards (either for clothes or coffee, places to take the boys while at home with them).

I asked for, and was told to just order, an initial necklace with DS’s initial. Semi annoyed that he couldn’t even place the order himself and because it was a big sale, I added jeans and a sweater to the order. I’ve put the necklace out for him to at least wrap, but already worn the clothes.

Otherwise we went to a wine tasting and came home with 3 boxes of wine, so that is our joint gift.
