Weekend stuff Dec 16/17

Today we are going to meet my aunt and uncle for brunch at a local Waffle House. I'm excited to try it out. My aunt says they have great food.

This afternoon we are going to go grocery shopping. We are trying not to buy too much food as next weekend we will be out of town for 4 days. So meal planning this morning.

I’m going to get a bang trim and eyebrows/lip wax this morning. That’s my only plan for this weekend. I woke up not feeling great, so I’m probably just going to take it easy, catch up on my DVR, and maybe read a book or something. H is working all weekend, so it’s just me and the dogs.

Yesterday, we decided to move forward with getting a home security system installed. We’ve been considering it since we bought our house and we found an offer that seems like a really good deal, so we’re finally going to go for it. Install is scheduled for the first week in January.

Going to a friend's 40th today (how are my friends turning 40 already?!) and to Target to buy some house stuff. Tomorrow I neeeeed to fit in an eyebrow wax, and I'd really like to get a pedicure.

I'm on call tonight, and we're having a chill night at home.

Productive and fun day! Got C’s cake ordered and did some chores. Took C to the park this morning and there was a party for the local families that included pictures with Mickey and Minnie, snacks and crafts, and coffee!! Nice surprise...made my little play date with C extra special today!

Boys are in bed and DH and I are hustling relaxing and having a couple drinks. No plans for tomorrow except to keep checking things off my list.

Morning! We are about to leave the hotel in a few minutes. We are stopping at a state park then on the drive home stopping at a few wineries. It’s going to be a long drive home.

This weekend was a humbling experience. To see these fire departments be so happy to get equipment we take for granted in the area we are from made me thankful for what we have and that we have the ability to have it. We are coming back in the spring with more equipment and I’m looking forward to it.
