BFP!

OMG! I haven't been temping or really charting at all, but based on my last few cycles, my period was due last weekend/early this past week. I've been dealing with pain from an ovarian cyst and had a follow-up ultrasound on that on 12/6 (which was a couple of days before the earliest day I was expecting my period). I took a test that morning just in case, and it was BFN. So after that, I kind of put testing out of my mind. After AF didn't show at all this week, I started to get concerned that this was just going to be another long cycle. I really didn't want to test and see another BFN after going through the roller coaster of having long cycles this past summer.

This morning, I finally took a test expecting it to be negative but it turned positive right away! Sent DH out for some digital tests and those came back positive too!

I'm cautiously optimistic. I know that certain types of cysts can cause positive tests, but since I had a negative test less than 2 weeks ago, not sure that this positive would be caused be the cyst. That's definitely in the back of my mind though, and I am anxious to get a definitive answer from my doctor.

My brain is swirling right now with different emotions! I think I am still in shock.

Thank you!! Going to call my doctor first thing tomorrow morning to see! I am hoping I can get in to do a blood test this week so I'm not stuck wondering during the holidays!

Yay!! Congratulations! Any lab should be able to draw your blood for a beta, so you only need your doctor to call in the order.

I did not. My PCP suggested to just go ahead and make an OB appointment. My PCP has handled my GYN stuff up until now, so I am not established with an OB/GYN currently. I was able to get a new patient appointment for 2 weeks from now with an OB so I’ll just have to hang tight I suppose.

Feeling a bit more confident that this is all real. Been having a bit of nausea and definitely have some mood swings! Took another digital test yesterday and it was positive again.
