luv2rn4fun Next Saturday! He has requested a digger swirl cake so I'm making a marble cake with chocolate icing. Found some construction vehicle cupcake toppers to use and these super cute orange construction cone candles. DS loves orange cones, lol.

luv2rn4fun Yeah, that is weird about the old dogs name! I don't think I could use a human name when I know someone with that name! It's kinda on the same lines as people using the same name for every dog they get.. that one's weird to me too!

How is it practically Christmas already?!

It is 10 pm and I still plan to address Christmas envelopes and wrap a few gifts for my work Secret Santa (due tomorrow) tonight. I only seem to be able to get things done between 9:30 and 11pm at night. I need to figure out how to be on top of things better next year. I want to be watching stupid Hallmark movies or doing a fun Christmas activity, not doing Christmas chores every night!

I almost called out of work today, but here I am I. I caught a cold and am miserable. At least I’m working with a good partner today.

Friday H and I have to finish Christmas shopping. We don’t have much more to get.

Saturday is prep day and baking day. We are hosting Christmas so I need to clean and set up.

Christmas Eve we go to our friend’s house for the feast of the seven fishes.

Stress is the name of the game this week. G and B are both sick. I stayed with them yesterday and took them to the dr. G has RSV and B has a terrible cough but not RSV. I'm a nervous wreck about G, complicated by the fact that neither he nor I have slept much in the past week and that we have a full weekend of plans/traveling for Christmas coming up. I really, really hope he's well enough to enjoy his first Christmas. I'd hate to have to cancel our plans because B is SO excited I couldn't do that to her. Sigh. Not to mention I really cannot miss more work this week. I took yesterday, H took today and we have no idea what to do about tomorrow.

Thank you!! So so sorry G is so sick and B is sick too 🙁. How are they treating the RSV?

Thankfully the boys are healthy right now and have been the past two weeks! But L has been super clingy, wants to be held, and keeps waking at 9:30p the last 3 nights. Not sure what his deal is and last night was especially bad. He CANNOT get sick this week...C is SO excited for all his bday plans and Christmas! This morning is breakfast with Mickey and then the zoo on Thursday, bday party on Sat, Christmas Sunday at my parents, and then home for Christmas Day! No time for anyone being sick this week.

I'm mentally prepping to visit the IL's in PA this weekend. Deep breath. Packing lots of Frankincense oil as my anxiety is rearing its ugly head. I laughed SO HARD when MIL accidentally packed a set of wine glasses for DD's birthday I bet she meant them for me (thanks), but she accidentally included them in DD's gifts. Fighting the urge to send a humorous response My goal is to be the bigger person despite all of their antics. I may pack my lucky angel necklace I got in Italy...but that would be way too obvious. Halp.

Beating a dead horse here....but my boss has been discussing online dating with our staff accountant (who apparently is doing the same) for the past 30 minutes. If she catches one of us slowing down for half a second to converse with someone, she makes sure to walk by us so we see her. She is so ridiculous.

Also, DS has been in daycare 9 weeks at this point. Friday, she ignored my request to take a half day after we had to rush DS to the doctor. His temp skyrocketed and RSV was suspected (and they did a chest x-ray to rule out PNEUMONIA)...PLUS no one had slept all night. She only responded to tell me to "Be careful coming in and consider taking a half day later that day..she needs someone in my office the first part of the day" when I texted her that we would be late after finally getting home from the doctors at 6 a.m. Unreal. I'm here before most people in the office almost every day of the week and I'm doing a good job. I haven't had to take off since returning from maternity leave Oct. 9th, other than the standard holidays everyone has to take off. I don't understand any of this.

@mrsmb so sorry about your boss. That must be so infuriating! How is H feeling now?? Am I reading correctly that he is 5 months old already?

He is feeling better, much better. His temp is elevated at times (THIS time should be just due to teething). yeah, he is 5 months old now )

MrsMB, I've... accepted it. I'm about 90% sure these embryos won't survive thawing, and if they do, I can only hope one takes.

But DH has agreed to another IVF cycle in the new plan year (so May) and there is another RE in town who is a PCOS expert, so I think we'll make a consultation appointment with her.

We did breakfast with Mickey and friends this morning! We all had an amazing time!! And L cooperated and took a nap in the car so that was nice! They are napping again and we will likely stay home/low key rest of the day! Leftovers for dinner so there’s really nothing that has to get done today!

If I told former coworkers I was being treated this way, they wouldn't believe me. Ive been asked to train new people at previous employers. I'm been invited yo be pilot/testing groups. She's never managed before and man, it shows. She's admitted to me on several occasions than she goes on long breaks during the day for shopping trips, get her hair done, etc. DH thinks she's projecting HER habits on me.

DH is working late so I ordered Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner through DoorDash delivery. Except BWW messed up my order and gave me bone-in wings instead of boneless. It was a whole thing, the manager basically told me he could give me a new order but I had to come pick them up. Uh, no. DoorDash ended up giving me a credit for the wings but I just wanted some boneless wings, so it was really disappointing.

Also, there is a holiday bake-off at DH's work every year. I've had some good entries in the past but haven't won. This is my 4th year in it and I pretty much phoned it in and just made an extra batch of cookies I made for Christmas. And of course, I won. I mean, the cookies are good (butterscotch pudding pretzel cookies) but not amazing and definitely not as good as some of the stuff I've made in the past!

DH thinks maybe people feel sorry that I haven't won and voted for me kind of as a "lifetime achievement award" lol

Well, we're making progress in the BlueMoon household. B is back at school today and G is home with my MIL. No fever this am so I'm hoping one more day of rest helps him kick the virus for good. I'm so grateful she was able to come to my house at 630am so H and I could get to work on time. I really lucked out in the inlaw department.

Also, I finished our salt dough ornaments last night. If anyone is looking for a cute last minute craft project, it was super easy and I just used stuff I had around the house. I'm the least crafty person and I was pleased with how they came out. Cute token gift idea for aunts/uncles from kids!

I have 3 work days left and then we are off to our home town for Christmas. We got a huge dump of snow last night so hopefully the roads are better by the weekend.

There needs to be more hours in the day. We really need to shovel our driveway and sidewalk since it snowed today. I can't really do it during the day since I can't leave A inside alone and can't take her out with me. H will get home later but then we'll need to get E dinner and a bath, plus we both need to eat, plus A needs to be fed, plus I need to pump, plus... Lol. Not to mention I need to wrap gifts and such too. I'm tempted to ask the neighbor to snowblow for us and I'll pay him! FIL fixed up a snowblower for us but we don't have it yet, so that'll help once we get it.

Does A reliably nap without being held? Any way you can leave her inside and take a monitor with you? C and I play in the backyard daily during L’s morning nap. I have the monitor outside and turn up the volume and place it so I can hear him as needed. It’s pretty awesome and has a great signal length...right now it doesn’t hold battery for longer than 10 min so it has to be plugged in but before this issue I could be next door or all the way at the end of our street and still have signal.

But yeah, life with two little kids is totally crazy for awhile. Totally ask your neighbors for help...offer to pay but I guarantee that if you were my neighbor I would gladly do it for free. Hang in there- it gets much easier!

I would put her is Es room and go outside with the monitor. (If you feel comfortable doing that of course. Dh takes our pup out to pee in front of our apartment building when she's sleeping he just keeps the monitor on him as it works in front of our building.

I’m finally getting a raise at work! After 8 years.

I’m home sick today, my boss told me to stay home since I looked and sounded miserable. I’m trying to rest but there is so much to do around the house. I did a few things and tired myself out lol. Guess I’ll take that as a hint to rest.

I knocked four things off my Christmas to-do list so far today and three things off the baby to-do list! I looooove days off when daycare is open! I should have time to wrap a few gifts, do some straightening up, and still get DS early from daycare too!
