I'm super stressed. About work, not Xmas LOL. I was off Friday and ended up working a half day from home.
One good thing...some of our new bedroom furniture was delivered on Friday and it looks AWESOME. We ended up ordering our nightstands and dresser over the weekend. And, I ended up hiring our designer to shop for us. I just can't do it. I gave her a budget and told her to pick out window treatments, bedding, paint, wall paper, lamps, mirror, etc. I'm excited to see what she picks.
One bad thing...the deliver guys on Friday scratched the SH*T out of my stairwell. Good news...we were going to paint anyway so now we get to hire someone to do it and the furniture company pays the bill!
A little story for you regarding reserved seating at movie theaters. ..
Bf and I went to the disaster artist on saturday (so awkward and funny and all the things). We got tickets the night before online. We got the dead center aisle and row.
We get to our seats and there is a woman sitting in one of them. I politely told her that she was in our seat. She looked around the theater and said "can't you sit somewhere else? The theatre isn't full". Lol whut? I told her that maybe now there are open spots, but people reserve seats and they could belong to other folks. She asked again and I told her we would just really like to sit in our seats that we reserved and paid for. She heaved this big sigh, got out of the chair. ....and sat in the very next one. Also reserved for us. Did she not friggin buy a seat or what?
She ended up being a grand total of two seats away. Steve is non confrontational and looked slightly scandalized that I stood up to an older woman. No. We got these seats for a reason, biiiitch.
That's crazy gault . Did she not realize you could reserve them online? I had no idea you could do that because I rarely go to the movies these days!
My weekend was OKAY. I was mostly a mess. I went to two different tire places a total of three times for almost 6 hours. They removed 4 tiny nails from my tires so hopefully I'm done with flats, but man I feel like if one more crappy thing happens to me I might break. I feel on an upswing today though so I'm hopefully riding that out.
I went to the local pet loss group that the local SPCA holds once a month. A good friend of mine still runs it, I had gone for about 1-2 years when I lost Sheba almost a decade ago. It was so nice to see him and catch up as well as talk about Buddy and tell a lot of silly stories about him and then get out those feelings of suck that I feel too. A has been great. I've been having a hard time because people think I should be over it already or maybe I should take meds, but it's not even been 2 weeks? He was my best friend and constant source of joy through a lot of turmoil. I'm just not built to forget about him and move on.
We did get back on the foster listserv so we can start doing that again once we get back from holiday.

Reserved seats are for a reason!!!! I would totally say something. I watched The Room a few weeks ago. it was horrible but funny and still horrible. But with seeing the Disaster artist I think you need to watch this mash up of Star Wars and Tommy Wiseau.

That's ridiculous, gault. I'd be annoyed, too. doglove, I'm glad the pet loss group was helpful. Take the time you need to grieve.
My weekend was good! The cookies turned out well, and I had fun hanging out with the ladies at the studio on Friday. Saturday was so much fun--DH took me for a glider flight, where he did some stalls (you literally stall the glider by flying it pretty much straight up, and then the nose plunges down, and the pilot regains control...it's like being on a roller coaster, but there's no track!) and steep turns...I loved it! Now he wants me to take lessons, which I'm a little less excited about, but we'll see. We finished up a little early because the wind was picking up, so we got to the theater early...thankfully, there's a bar at the theater, so we sat and talked and drank for a few hours before seeing the new Star Wars movie. Loved it! Sunday, I had a really good practice session for my solo, and then I taught for a couple hours and had rehearsal.

Last week was the week from hell with DD. I don't know what her issue was but everything was a fight. EVERYTHING!!! She was with her dad over the weekend, so I'm feeling refreshed and hoping for a much better week. Although she goes on Christmas break from school soon so at least the school stress will be taken out of the equation.
I'm actually pretty prepared for Christmas. Although I realized last night that I probably need to buy myself some stocking stuffers, but I don't feel like shopping anymore. I also don't want crappy stuff. FWP!
I'm good, I'm getting ready for my trip. How is it so soon??!?
Today I had to go to three different stores at the mall to find my nighttime moisturizer. I ended up finding it in Macy's, which is where I entered the mall because of ease of parking. Apparently I should've just started there! I did her samples of a couple foundations and have fun strolling the mall, though, so there's that.
This weekend was good. It was so busy. My top favorites was Saturday night at our cities Botantical Gardens. It is super festive with music and lights. My friends all dress up in Christmas onsies and go. It is ridiculous and fun. Sunday I went shopping with my Dad for Christmas. We go every year for my Mom. This year it was mostly us walking around, talking, and eating Gelato. I had the best time.
