Help! We drew the names of two boy cousins for the kid swap in DH's family. I have no clue what to get for a 9 year old boy and a 10 year old boy. Doesn't help that I basically have to Amazon Prime it because I just found out today...

Depends on what they are in to. My son is 10 and has zero interest in legos. He loves sports and video games. I would think Gamestop gift cards, Dicks gift cards, Amazon gift card, Target gift card.

Great big nerf guns (unless their family doesn't do guns of course).
For my 8 year old nephew I got this paper airplane activity set that gives you the paper and instructions to make elaborate airplanes. It was less than 20 dollars, so that might not be big enough.
mustardseed2007, Nerf guns would be fun! DH suggested light sabers. My only concern is that then we're basically unleashing them on the family party in a very crowded house, with weapons. I don't see it ending well...

twinmomma, lol, that's what backyards are for! I like the idea of giving kids that age something to really play with right away during a family gathering.
Glow in the dark balls (soccer ball, basketball) Foxtail (a ball that has a tail) Star Wars trilogy graphic novel (https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Original-Trilogy-Graphic/dp/1484737849/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1513713800&sr=8-1&keywords=star+wars+graphic+novel)
My vote was also going to be Legos. We have an older nephew (14) that just gets gift cards now but a few years ago we just gave him cash. But I rolled it up and put it in a toilet paper holder and then put it into a jar of M&M's. So it looked like he got a jar of candy but it was actually cash. I thought it was cute but I think he thought it was kind of lame. Maybe you could find a cooler way to just give them cash.

MIL got all the boys, even 19 yo DH at the time and his 35 yo brother, nerf guns and it was one of the most fun Christmases we've had at her house because of the nerf gun war. The year she got all the girls, even me and Sil's, being right there with it.
What about a fandango or specific movie theater gift card? I buy those for my niece and nephews and gift that along with movie theater candy I get from the dollar store. I usually buy them online and have them sent electronically so I don't have to go to the theater. If you want them to have something to open Minecraft legos or under armour would be popular with my nephews that age.
I’d steer away from video games - we have almost zero interest in them here.
Err on the side of “too old” if it comes down to a choice - DH’s family get the girls toddler and preschool level gifts every year - when DD was 5’2” one gift was a kid baking apron and kids size whisk. She was like...thank you?
Thanks for all the ideas! Dh totally over-ruled me and insisted on light sabers. I added on some Star Wars hats and gloves. I have no clue if these kids like Star Wars, but DH insists that all boys like playing with light up swords.

It'll be great! Even if they don't like Star Wars they'll like hitting each other.
