We made it to our hometown for Christmas last night. (Midnight) This morning I went to change into my nice jeans I bought for Christmas and guess what I left them at home. 😞 So now I have either yoga pants or my sweat pants I wore here last night. Urg
Then I realized that I left all my maternity clothing here when we moved, so I'm wearing maternity jeans that defiantly don't stay up as well anymore. O well at least they don't look too bad.
Whoops awick14 . Glad you found something that works in a pinch. And happy birthday (tomorrow) to your sweet girl! Can't believe she's a year!
ETA: and my vent is my stupid period arrived today. I was expecting it any day and all, but thanks to it coming a week early a few months ago that means here it is just in time for Christmas. *sigh*

awick14 bright side, you can eat a bunch of food and your pants won't get tight! Lol.
I'm at ILs now. We did our own Christmas this morning. Tomorrow we are going to H's uncle's, then to my parents. Then Christmas morning at my parents, my aunt and uncle's for brunch, then getting together with my dad's side. So we've got a busy few days, lol. But I'm excited for everyone to meet A although I'm just a little nervous someone will get her sick or something. I'm sure it'll be fine though!
awick14 I can't believe your sweet girl is already a year! How time flies! A is 9 months old today.
I'm taking a break from baking and cleaning. MIL, her bf, BIL and SIL, and two family friends are coming over here tomorrow afternoon. On Christmas we'll go to my parents house in the afternoon.
It's so weird to finally be excited about Christmas again after IF stole the last few years. While I could be sad that IF is happening again this time around, I'm choosing to be happy for the holidays instead.
Every year I swear I will be more on top of things and every year I am wrong.
Actually, this MIGHT be the first year I don't hve to wrap any gifts on Christmas Eve, if I can summon the energy to finish tonight.
H is sick and it's so frustrating. He gets sick every single time the temperature has a major fluctuation. We're in Chicago, so as you can imagine, that is like ALL THE TIME. I really want him to go to the doctor and get on some kind of proactive regimen. I am frustrated to be doing all of the grocery shopping and wrapping and baking and cleaning by myself, while he hacks up a lung. I sympathize with him, but we do not have time for this this weekend!

((Hugs)) krystee. I hope you get everything done and get a handle to relax this weekend too. Prayers your H feels better soon.
We had C’s bday party today so it was a busy couple days getting ready for it. Party was small but great!! DH is out with his friends now and I just baked two batches of brownies to make gingerbread brownies for dessert for tomorrow. I also need to bake chocolate chip cookies but will likely do that tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow afternoon is at my dads house and then we are home all day Christmas with my parents coming over before naps. ILs were supposed to be here today and Christmas but DH’s Grandma is in the hospital with the flu so they couldn’t come (totally understandable and I feel bad because they were really excited to celebrate C’s bday and Christmas).
Tonight we are going to our friend’s house. I can’t wait! I bought a funny sweater to wear off of amazon but it’s huge. I’m going to try to still wear it. I told H I can eat whatever I want now since you won’t be able to see that my pants are unbuttoned lol.
I have lots of cleaning and preparing to do for tomorrow. All I want to do is watch Christmas movies and relax. I have no motivation!

We went to my husband's aunts yesterday to celebrate with them. Today we've spent cleaning house and fighting with C. She was sleep deprived and awful today. I had to force her to nap with me so she can function this evening at my grandma's house. Tomorrow I am hosting my mom's family. Tuesday we're going to my mother-in-laws to celebrate.
I have a few gifts bags to add tissue to, one basket to cellophane, and one gift left to wrap.
We aren’t celebrating any holidays this year, because our life is all about the kitchen remodel right now.
We didn’t make it to any family gatherings, we didn’t do any holiday activities, we took our decorations down almost a week ago, we put our entire gift budget toward the renovation... and H works 12 hour shifts on NYE and NYD, so we won’t be celebrating that, either.
I’m currently watching a Food Network marathon while H and FIL are on day three of trying to figure out the many wiring issues we found in the kitchen (moral of the story - we are crazy lucky that our house hasn’t caught on fire in the past two years).
