Foundation for dry skin?

Any recommendations? I tried Tarte Born This Way and I like it but since I started wearing it by evening my eye makeup is smeared under my eyes and that didn't happen with Smashbox StudioSkin (but made my face look cakey). So I'm looking again.

I don’t know about the eye makeup problem—that sounds like you need an eyelid primer and maybe different eyeliner/mascara.

BUT my favorite foundation for the last year is Nars Sheer Glow. I always use moisturizer underneath, but it doesn’t dry me out like others.

I have normal skin but get drier in the winter months - I go for a “serum foundation” like IT Cosmetics CC cream. I’ve heard the CG Healthy Elixir (not sure of name but I think this is close) is a decent dupe. I plan to try that when my current tube of CC cream runs it’s course.

I've been using the same eye makeup and primer so that's what led me to think it was the foundation since that's the only thing that changed.

How much coverage are you looking for? I have dry skin and love the Dr Jart BB cream. But, it's about medium coverage, not really build-able.

For everyday I use Jouer luminizing moisture tint, but that has very minimal coverage.

For when I want more coverage, I use Make Up For Ever Ultra HD foundation. The reformulation is much better for dry skin. It doesn't cling to dry patches or make them look worse and I find it to be very comfortable on.
