Challenge: Reflect on your self care lately. Of course there will be weeks where self care just can't be a priority, but overall, is there anything you can try to do going forward to improve even just a bit? Perhaps changing a schedule, delegating a task, maintaining a space where you unwind rather than letting it become a collection spot for clutter, setting aside a short time each week for a hobby, whatever. You don't necessarily have to share your reflections and plans, just something to think about as this year winds down to its end.
My self care takes time so it's hard to fit in. I have to wear my braces both feet for plantar fashitis. And use my massager on my neck and traps because they are perpetually tight. I went to physical therapy and it helped a little bit they are still always tight. It just makes it hard to fit into my schedule and I have to be semi motivated to do it.
I am gaining some holiday weight and need to hit the treadmill but motivation is hard. We are going to try snowboarding lessons so I will need some leg muscles for that. 😀
It's definitely been on the back burner with Christmas and taking care of DD who has bronchitis. She has to have breathing treatments 3 times a day and antibiotics. We are on day 8, so we are getting there but I have to keep up on it so she doesn't get pneumonia.
I need a plan for next year but not sure what if should be... I am terrible at hobbies. If I find myself with free time I end up cleaning or doing laundry or reading or on the internet. I am not creating anything crafty.
I had a week off of work last week and I've been trying to organize things. I want to get better about everything before the baby. Eating unhealthy has been a big thing this year. I made a 9 week meal plan to try to get better.
waverly, I completely understand having self care that is needed but time consuming as I have PT exercises I don't always fit into my day. Also, remember that hobbies don't have to be crafty; reading is a hobby too.
