Christmas was really good and the kids love their gifts! We’re at the ILs now and H has croup and hasn’t slept in 2 nights. Were thinking of driving home late tonight instead of tomorrow. It’s 8 hours but at least that way one of us could sleep in tomorrow and the other get a nap.

Ours has been good but a little underwhelming which is ok I guess. We did the traditional Christmas Eve with in-laws. Christmas day we spent at home with mil coming over for just an hour to eat dinner.
We left last night at 8:30 and drove to my parents to spend a few days. I slept in the car and we got in at 3am. I slept another few hours from 4-8 but I am so tired and have a headache.
My dad's side of the family are still giving my mom the silent treatment for something they did so we won't be seeing them which is weird because usually they are in our faces.
We had a pretty good Christmas, this age is so fun with both kids. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at home - my MIL and GMIL came over for Christmas dinner. Yesterday, we went to my parents to celebrate with my side of the family. My H and I came home, but they boys are staying with my parents until Thursday. I'm cleaning the Christmas aftermath, and donating some old toys to make room while they're gone.
Hectic weekend but good to see family. Went to MILs on Saturday for dinner and W chased and played with his boy cousins. Christmas eve we went to my moms. R spiked a 102 fever and was clingy and crabby, so that was not so fun. She was up 3x overnight that night. Christmas morning we just stayed home and opened presents then hung out until heading back to my moms for dinner and to see my sister and her 5 kids! That was chaos, but the kids had fun. They were both home yesterday with school and daycare closed, so MH was home with them and played with all their new stuff. I'm at work all week and it's cold as hell here! MH's bday is on Friday so we are going out for a nice dinner date night. Probably laying low for NYE.
our christmas was really nice- the kids are at great ages. my parents and sister came into town so it was nice spending time with them. i have the kids off daycare all week- staying home is not for me!

We had a great Christmas. The boys were so much fun, Daniel, as expected, tore into everything like a Tasmanian devil and Alexander was slow and thoughtful and examined everything before moving on.
My parents and sister were here with us this year and they all indulged my craziness and wore matching pjs. We did it last year too but last year was much more muted with black shirts and red buffalo plaid bottoms, this year was considerably more wild 😂.
mlkgls, yes I'm pretty sure after all of the Christmas cookies, pie, candy - and now two days at Grama and Grampa's, we're going to be in sugar detox here too.
that's fun that you can get the whole family into it sandj82110!
I love Christmas at this age with E especially, he was so excited with everything he opened. Look Mommy, dinosaurs! Look Mommy, a book! Look Mommy, clothes - with dinosaurs on them! B was hilarious with checking the cookie plate - apparently all of the reindeer liked the carrots they left out, except Comet who just gnawed on his, and then left it on the plate. B has been telling everyone that Comet doesn't like carrots, lol.
Loco Coco oh no! Glad the big girls helped you out.
@lindy how is he feeling today?
He's totally normal! So now idk if he had croup or if he had some weird allergy while we were there? He got worse each day we were there and then was back to normal at home today so idk.
It's in the 20's and sleeting so it looks like we're staying in today. Hopefully I can take advantage of the extra day this weekend and tackle a few closets and toy boxes. We have too much stuff!
