Viagra

So we have been having some amount of trouble with TTC. One of the issues is that we’re having is that my H has some erectile dysfunction. He has trouble ejaculating a lot of the time, and trouble maintaining an erection sometimes as well.
We had similar issues last time, but it’s worse now. Last time it took about a year to conceive, and we’re coming up on that landmark again.
We’re getting a referral to an RE, but in the meantime (it can take a few months), my H has gotten a prescription for Viagra.
My question- does Viagra affect fertility? I mean, I’m assuming that he would be able to come (maybe?), but does the medication alter fertility at all?

I truly have no idea but I know some REs use viagra in female patients as a vaginal suppository for fertility treatment (I think the idea is to increase blood flow kinda like baby aspirin?) so that leads me to believe it can’t impact things too much but I suppose that doesn’t shed too much light on the male side.

My husband needed it when we were TTCing our first. The pressure was making him lose his erection, especially if he got tired or we changed positions. We were were able to conceive our first without help but had secondary infertility trying to have our second. Surprisingly he was fine when we were TTCing DS2

Is viagra addictive? Do you think if we use it once does it mean we need to use it more and more frequent? Sorry if it is a stupid question, i just never had any experience with viagra

Not to my knowledge. If you see my post above you’ll see my husband used it when we were TTCing our first but hasn’t needed it since.

Not from my experience. My ex was taking it one or twice per year and had no problem with erection all other time. He used to order those in online pharmacy but if i remember it right you also need a prescription for it.
