How do you knitters and crocheters store your stuff? Mine is on an open shelf which is a bad idea I know, because MOTHS AHHHHHH! I haven't seen any but I think one ate parts of a sock. I need to store them better and am waiting on whether my mom has a cedar chest I can have or not. I figure I should sort this out before I make my first sweater.

My stash is in under-bed zipper storage and an ikea Expedit unit. No moth issues to date. If you're having trouble with moths, one of my LYS owners recommends storing in vacuum-sealed bags (like those space-saver ones). Apparently it doesn't hurt the yarn at all and protects them from all kinds of issues - water, smoke, and moths.

I am a rebel and store all my yarn out in cubbies so I can see it. I haven't had issues with moths yet, but if I ever see one, I will get some cedar.
As far as my projects, I keep everything in a project bag. Usually they are zippered or drawstring. I store those throughout the house (some in the living room where I knit at night, some in my craft room, some in the bedroom) in baskets.
