H has never listened to the whole soundtrack so I'm going to be watching him in the 2nd Act like I was during GoT Red Wedding. And he's a sucker for this sort of thing. I've got tissues in my purse already and he's like "What's that for?"
I hope all the FL iguanas die in a cold frozen not-fire. (I don't want them to suffer, but I want them gone)
They're an invasive species that has wreaked havoc on local ecosystem. I like iguanas. We had them in high school as pets, same with snakes. Doesn't mean I want them on the loose.
They took over a local park I used to go to that was FL scrub pine. We used to go as "old" FL lessons. Across the street was one of the original houses in the area (an amazing race end point one year) with native spider monkeys. They're gone because of iguanas.
This cold snap won't decimate the population. It just gives a temporary reprieve. The problem is that stupid humans keep releasing their pets. Snakes, iguanas, birds... we suck as a species.
ETA That guy is an idiot. Local recs say to trap them while frozen so they can be euthanized, but expect them to revive when warm enough.

I had a dream that Chrissy Teigan and Susan Saradon we’re trapped in a house in Palm Springs that was being visited by aliens and were live tweeting their experience. There was a picture of tiny footprints going to and from a freezer in the garage. ETA: remembered there was also a selfie with them wearing tin foil hats. Chrissy’s was a helmet wrapped in foil with a foil antenna taped on it....
My big plans for the day involve making a giant batch of pasta sauce in my turkey roaster (it can hold a low simmer very well and lets me make a giant batch for freezing), and modifying my electric spinning wheel with some new parts so i can spend most of tomorrow (aka, Distaff Day) spinning.
My stupid cold won't go away and it is fucking freezing outside.
OTOH, DH and I are having a date night tonight, so yay for that. We're having dinner and finally seeing Star Wars! DD started a new theater class today so I am interested to hear how it went.

Going to a dinner tonight at a friend's house. I asked, "what can I bring?" and she asked for a dessert-y thing. One of the guests is new to town, the area's head chef for a large grocery chain that is coming here (one location is here already, but far away from me) I don't like to bake, so I went to my local grocery store's bakery and got chocolate tarts. I told my friend I'd lie if they asked who made them.
I have half taken down my Christmas tree and my Dh is waiting for me to finish so he can take it out of the house and here I am. Have got to get motivated.

Since I'm in a full-time-regular job with a steadily growing company, we might go on our first vacation without my extended family this summer. I'm ridiculously excited about this.
Today is the first day you can buy legal weed in San Francisco!
Maybe I should go participate in a piece of history.
Theoretically we can buy here, too. The city, however, has said moratorium for at least 6 months. It's so stupid when bordering a county where its been legal for awhile

I had no idea there were native monkeys in Florida. Did the iguanas eat them or all their food?

If this cold snap continues any longer, I swear I'm going to end up drunk & booking a tropical vacation soon. I've already priced them out. A few more days of this and it'll be Viva Mexico for the Strawberry household.
We’re trying to sell our car. DH took it today for a quick errand, and the seatbelt locked up. It needs to be replaced, but it’s now a discontinued part. The parts department guy told me I either need to go to the junk yard or try to find one on eBay. Ugh.
