Hey all! 

Happy Monday, I'm caffeinated and ready to rock. I came into work at 6:20 this morning so I can leave early. Traffic in my city is going to be insane. My alma mater is in the College National Championship game, the president decided to tag along to watch and they predict icy frozen rain. I am going to GTFO since the new stadium is on my way home.

Happy Monday!

This weekend was so nice! We relaxed Saturday; had lunch with a friend, ordered wallpaper and picked up the paint and watch Star War movies. Yesterday we took down our tree and put the house back in order. Also got my oil changed. It felt nice to be productive!

Also a productive/restful weekend for me. I got a lot of sleep and we got the rest of the house unpacked save for one room and the garage. Foster pup is starting to settle into the routine - yay. We got her a new name tag for when we adopt her, a harness and a thundershirt. ALL THINGS PINK. We had some friends over for dinner last night to end the weekend.

Oh Monday....how do you sneak up on me so fast? Weekend was pretty quiet and I spent most of it in pjs! Did a ton of laundry since I now have hot water...woo hoo!! Currently getting a head cold and feeling blah.

Hi Monday!

I have been at work since 8 and haven't done anything because the bank system we use is down and no one has responded to our supervisor's requests for assistance.

Weekend was good, pretty quiet. I didn't do much Friday, Saturday I fed my friends cats, then had dinner. I took myself out for a drink and ended up bonding with some regulars and closing the place down. I like it there.

neonpink, I LOVE that chair!! It's gorgeous! I ordered a hallway light fixture from there this weekend...I let my interior designer talk me in to brass...I hope we love it!

Fuck today. A pipe just started spouting water in the garage - must've frozen solid during our bitter temps this weekend and started thawing today. It took me nearly and hour to find the shut off valve - it was hidden behind the central vac system, of course. Why wouldn't you hide an important valve? Ugh. So now I'm cleaning up a flooded floor.

And all of this is left to me to handle because M has Loki at the vet (how long since our last visit? It's been less than 2 months since Loki's fight with a raccoon). I'm not sure if it's the brutal cold or if the dog has an infection, but he started peeing in the house this weekend. Like accidents every 2 hours even though he's been outside kind of peeing.

Just another fun Monday in the chalupa house!

Oh man chalupa, that's a rough morning. Has he held his pee in because of the cold? That could cause an infection. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Happy Monday! I'm home from work today because I'm exhausted. I don't feel in any other way like I'm coming down with something, but with all the germs I'm around, one never knows. I'm glad I'm getting a chance to stay home and rest. Being back in PJs is the best thing ever right now.

My weekend was good. Went to two hockey games, went out one night with a friend, then went on a nice nature-y walk/very mild hike on Saturday (with the guy I met NYE). Yesterday was for laundry.

I do have to figure out some of this guy stuff. I'm not entirely sure about either one. We'll see how it goes when the tattoo artist gets back and I see him again.

Well, no, because it's all over my living room :/

But he did start making MUCH quicker trips outside on Thurs and Friday because of the cold. And now that I'm looking back on it, I didn't exactly stand out there to supervise because it was insanely cold, so it's possible he wasn't actually peeing. Which is why we sent him to the vet - better to figure out if it's an infection before I keep calling him an asshole.

chalupa I hope everything goes well at the vet for Loki (and your bank account). Sucks that you're dealing with flooding by yourself.

doglove hooray for getting more settled in and getting Penny (yes?) some things for once she's officially yours!

Update: not an infection. However, he peed 3x during the 40 minutes he was at the vet, so we have to take some more samples in tomorrow to check for Cushings disease. OR, he could just be an asshole who doesn't like to go out in the cold, but it seems he's consuming a ton more water than normal.

Oh no, I hope it's not Cushings. Fingers crossed.

chalupa, could it be diabetes? Ugh. I am sorry your Monday has been so rough!!

bullygirl979 I suppose it's possible. He's had recent bloodwork pulled with his annual checkups, so diabetes should have shown up there, I'd think. I suppose it's possible it's a more recent change. He's being cut off of water early tonight and will hopefully have a less diluted urine sample for the vet tomorrow morning, and they'll decide on any further testing from there.

Some vets may not test for it in normal bloodwork. I know when Buddy was having these same issues (he had them for the duration I had him though - always had to pee and always drank excessively) that the vet tested him specifically for diabetes and cushions along with his normal bloodwork.  I think he also had to be fasting for the diabetes bloodwork too. (This was probably three years ago nowso my memory fails me a little bit)

Hope you can get some answers tomorrow.

Hope you made it home before the madness began neonpink. I had a 5pm flight to Charlotte and a 3pm meeting I couldn’t miss. I left my house at 1pm not knowing what traffic/security would look like so that I could make sure I was checked in and through security before the meeting. I was at the airport and in the Sky Club by 1:45 pm. Oh well, I’d rather be early than late.

I’m staying at The Ritz and got upgraded to a suite. Um, I never want to leave. I ordered room service complete with a glass of wine. I’m watching the game and plan to take a long hot bubble bath at halftime.

This weekend was really good. Friday night happy hour for a friend’s birthday. Saturday I took down Christmas and cleaned. My place looks and feels and smells so awesome right now. Saturday night I went out to watch the Falcons game with some friends. Sunday was football at the normal sports bar.

My chair legs are a light brushed brass. I like it. I'm now going to try and work in more mixed metals into my house.
