1. Where are you in your journey? TTC #1 since May, Cycle 5, CD37, no signs of ovulation
2. Any testing this week? Nope.
3. Non-BFP AWs/vents/randoms? H and I have been together for ten years this week.
4. What is the last movie you saw at the theater? Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We're hoping to find some time to go see The Shape of Water this week, though.
3. I am going back and forth between excited anticipation and thoughts of OMG what are we doing!
4. We saw The Post in theater last week! It was a great movie (or, at least the parts I saw... I fell asleep when it got a little slow because of those lay z boy style couches in the theater and the fact it was a late movie!)
TTC#2 since May '17. CD5 Nope Next week will be 13 years since H and I met! Last month I saw both Last Jedi (H date with two other couples) and pitch perfect 3 (girls date)
TTC #2. Cycle 1, CD 118. Fertility friend says I should test today, based on a positive OPK in December. I will, but also finally have a consult scheduled with my Dr for next week, so we'll see how that goes. Thank goodness for wondfos! We meet with our remodel team Saturday to finalize plans and get things started. I'm excited! The Last Jedi. We go to the Star Wars movies with friends every year, which is fun.
1. Where are you in your journey? TTC #2. Cycle #2-CD 10
2. Any testing this week? We are doing SMEP this cycle so I should begin OPK testing today but I'll wait till tomorrow. I O'd very late last cycle so i think it's a bit early to test just yet and waste OPK strips.
3. Non-BFP AWs/vents/randoms? We just got back from a glorious beach vacation and I'm struggling to get out of vacation mode into real life mode. I go back to work on Monday, so I'm trying to enjoy what's left of the time off.
4. What is the last movie you saw at the theater? I'm not really the movie theatre type. I like waiting for them to come out on tv so i can watch them in the comfort of my home with a glass of wine, bra off! But it was Girls Trip.
1. Where are you in your journey? TTC #2, Cycle 2, CD26 - 12 DPO
2. Any testing this week? Yup! I was going to test this morning, but I decided to wait until tomorrow. I am crazy and i tested way too early and got a few BFN, so now I'm waiting so I don't waste more tests and hoping to not see another BFN. My logic makes no sense! With DD I got a clear BFP at 13 DPO so I figure I have a good shot of knowing either way tomorrow.
3. Non-BFP AWs/vents/randoms? After like 3 weeks of deep freeze (temps < 20 deg F), we're above freezing this week! It is crazy that 35 degrees feels like a heat wave. I almost felt like opening my windows on the drive to work.
4. What is the last movie you saw at the theater? We saw The Last Jedi last month. We don't get to see very many movies in the theater anymore as it isn't worth paying a babysitter. I also saw Thor Ragnarok a few weeks before that with a girlfriend and I laughed so hard. That movie was awesome. I can't wait for it to come on video so H can see it.
Question: I’m still new to this (Cycle 1!) so forgive me if this is a silly question... I have been using digital OPKs this cycle and received a High OPK reading around 7am yesterday and the Peak OPK reading last night around 7:30pm.
Unfortunately, DH wasn’t feeling well and went to bed early, not up for anything. Then, he was up and out of the house before 5am this morning so we missed out this morning too. Is it too late to shoot for tonight after 8pm and did we miss the window or do we still have a shot?

I'd go for it! I had the same issue this month and based on my googling it seemed like 24 hours after was still a possibility. The peak OPK means you will ovulate 12-24 hours (maybe longer, I forget now) and you can conceive something like 12-24 hours after you ovulate. So I would definitely go for it!

Ugh, he wasn’t feeling well last night either so that’s a wash.

1. Where are you in your journey? TTC #1, Cycle 2, CD21, 7DPO Edit: 30 days ago I would have no goddamn idea what any of the above meant. I have learned SO much. lol
2. Any testing this week? Nope, holding off until next.
3. Non-BFP AWs/vents/randoms? Today is the first day since December 20 that I have worked two full days in a row. lol
4. What is the last movie you saw at the theater? The Disaster Artist. I loved it, but am terribly sad now that James Franco is a gross creeper, apparently. UGH.

1. TTC #2 cycle 2 since mc cd 6 2. Will start opk's at the end of the week 3. I am thinking about doing a 2 hour dsnce class on Mondays. I did a drop in this week and had a lot of fun. Last week to join is next week so I have to make a decision. 4. The Last Jedi. I liked it but it was long and my but fell asleep.
CD13 today. I was going to test this morning but chickened out. I might wait until after my period is supposed to show on Sat as I'm getting pretty pessimistic about this month, which sucks since I was so sure I was pg last week.
melsamoony , you should totally do the dance class! I miss dancing so I want to live vicariously through you. My H and I met ballroom dancing in college. What kind of dance is it?
1. Approaching TTC#2- I just made the appointment to get my IUD removed, but they can't see me for about 6 more weeks (boooo). DS1 was born January 2015 so it's been a little while since I did this and I figured it can't hurt to get prepared/refresh my memory. So I guess I'm at TTC#2, Cycle -2, CD13
2. Nope. I started charting on FF again but I was just thinking it couldn't hurt to pick up some OPKs to confirm that I remember what I'm doing. It helped me feel better last time.
3. My brother is getting married in a week and a half and I still don't know what I'm wearing. I'm doing a reading and wrangling the ring bearer (my DS who is almost 3) and it's an evening wedding in Texas. I bought a cocktail dress (per the bride's recommendation) but I don't really like it so I need to go out this weekend to see if I can do better.
4. Oh geez... pretty sure it was "How to Train Your Dragon 2," which was in like 2014, when I was pregnant last time. Movies have never been my thing and now that it includes having to plan a babysitter, we never go.
I'm new to this board (but a long time CEP lurker).
1. "Trying" for #2. We have been on the fence whether or not to stay one and done for a while, and decided to let fate decide. Not sure if I belong here, as we aren't actively TTC (except to the extent not using protection counts!). Need some sort of outlet because we aren't sharing with family, etc.
2. By my count I'm 5 DPO. Won't test until I'm at least 2-3 days late for my period.
3. I'm somewhat conflicted about #2. On the one hand, we find having two adult children when we are older very compelling. But DS (4 yo) is already pretty self-sufficient and I can't say I'm excited about the idea going back to diapers, no sleep, etc.
4. Dunkirk. Hid my head the whole time. I'm not a war movie kind of girl.
CD1. I’m starting to get really anxious that I’m old and this is not going be easy.
I hear people talk about some test that measures how many eggs you have left or something. Like a blood test? Is that something I can just ask my GYN for? I admit I haven’t been to the OBGYN since my 6 week checkup with DD in 2015.

FSH and AMH are two of the blood tests that can be done for ovarian reserve. I think A GYN could probably order them, but sometimes they aren’t very helpful in terms of interpreting results correctly as much as an RE would be. Also depending on your insurance coverage and how they are billed the tests may not be covered. The last thing is that your GYN may just not want to order them at all either bc they aren’t concerned with your age or how long you’ve been trying or just because it’s out of their wheelhouse and not really what they do.
Thx, seeyalater52 , do you mean the tests have nothing to do with age? I know I’m jumping the gun since we’re only on cycle 2 (well, 3 now), but I’m turning 39 this year so I definitely want to be proactive as time isn’t on our side.

If you’re 38 I assume they would be much more amenable to doing those types of tests. I couldn’t recall your age but DOR doesn’t always match up with age (even though in general it does decline with age). I have 2 friends in their early 30s who went to the RE and did testing after TTTC and they had DOR even though they are pretty young. In both cases their gyno acted like they were being unreasonable for wanting testing because they were too young. I imagine it would be taken nore seriously at your age, and if you’re over 35 the recommended time to wait for testing is shorter anyways (abt 6 months).

I just saw my Dr yesterday, as I'm in a similar boat. She did labs for a couple of things, an ultrasound to check my lining that was inconclusive, and recommended acupuncture. Maybe your doctor could recommend some options too?
I don't think you're jumping the gun, as was said, after 35, the recommendation is to try for 6 months before testing, so I'd say you're on track.

You might also want to see about having an HSG done to make sure your tubes are open. I had mine done last month - I assumed both were open but it turns out only 1 was so the treatment plan is slightly different.
