How did I choose these books? I selected all the 2017 Goodreads Choice Awards Final Nominees for Mystery/Thriller that had an average rating of 4.0 or higher and was not a sequel in a series, and then I selected some from the 2016 and 2015 awards using the same criteria until I got to 10 choices.
