I'm running around like a mad woman trying to accomplish my to do list since I have today off. I have a weird week where I have normal travel on Tuesday, come home for one night, then fly to the office for Thursday, then head home again on Friday.
I'm working on completing our final bedroom in the house. The previous owners put in this awful, weird, expensive ceiling fan. Looks-wise, it's fine. Functionality is terrible. I thought maybe I could swap out the light kit and wall switch to make it better without going to the expense of an entire new fan install. Except a light kit and a wall switch for that specific unit are $120 EACH. Makes me hate the fan even more
Confession of sorts: I'm thinking of ordering something from the TTH fundraiser. The confession part is one of my good friends sells that same product and I've never bought anything from her...
I'm sitting in the waiting room at my RE, waiting for my first monitoring appointment for this FET.
I'm so tired. I stayed up to reset my body clock to work night shift. My plan was to get a nap before this appointment, but of course, I couldn't sleep. I'm going to make sure I take my melatonin when I get home.

It's snowy and cold out again. I hate when it's super cold outside because the house gets really cold too. It's supposed to warm up this weekend though again.
I'm still in shock from that game last night. I can NOT believe they pulled it off at the literal last second like that! Total redemption for the horrible endings to playoff games. And beating the Saints after what happened years ago.. that much sweeter! Now to make it one more game! I'm not keeping my hopes up because my teams always break hearts, but if they were to even make it to the Super Bowl at home?! And win their first? I don't even know what we would do around here!
The rest of the week is pretty normal. Of course, we're supposed to get the cold white stuff today which will make everyone crazy and unable to focus. Lovely.
Watched "Allied" last night with Brad Pitt over the weekend. The ending had me ugly cry so hard....ugh.....

Laundry complete! I had to wash a ridiculous amount of blankets. I bought some of the vacuum storage bags to save space. Hopefully they work.
The rest of the day I’m planning on watching Disney movies. I’m thinking of ordering Chinese or sushi for lunch but that requires putting pants on so that may not happen.
We're getting our new couches today! I feel so old getting excited about couches. We got our playroom one a couple of weeks ago. The couch and loveseat we have are ones my sister gave us when we got married almost 8 years ago and they were 5 or so years old then. I just need a new coffee table and end tables, and the den will be just about done.
I got my hair done Friday. The girl who does my hair is a great friend/adopted adult daughter. She loves my hair long but the other day I asked her to cut an inch or 2 off. There was barely anything to sweep and barely any difference in the length. I’m thinking she just trimmed the ends because she didn’t want to cut any length. I do love the color this time!
wineandcheese- I am jealous of both lunch choices! Can’t go wrong!
Today- two loads of laundry done, dinner nearly done, called my doctor to get my thyroid meds filled and referrals re-done (mammogram/ultrasound and gyn), helped MIL with mass text for funeral services, went for a 4.5 mile run, small grocery shop on the way home from said run, and a shower!
Hubby was off today which we didn't know until Saturday, so that was a nice treat. Hopefully the week is productive and happy. The cold and being cooped up is starting to get to me. I'm not feeling depressed yet, which is excellent, BUT, I am feeling really stir crazy and that's always how the seasonal depression starts. Hoping I can force myself out of the house enough to ward it off this year...
pooh8402 That sounds so miserable I hope you get to sleep soon.
suzv I'm so sorry. Will the school pay for replacements or is that all on you?
DH has been waiting for the next step in the interview process for 2 weeks. First the manager was out of office then the recruiter took an extra long weekend. He is suppose to hear something in the next couple days. You can feel the tension in our house. DH is so stressed from waiting.
MrsMB Were you able to make it to the office? It's stuck to the roads here pretty good and people on Facebook are saying it's more of the icy sleet stuff instead of fluffy snow.
My poor dog is having a rough time with the new couches. We took the rug out of the room to make it easier to bring the couches in, and they're a little taller than our old ones. Between that and the laminate floor she is having the hardest time jumping up on the couch. She keeps giving me this "what the heck mom?! Fix it!" look.

Barely....scared about having to drive home though. I texted my boss to let her know road conditions were icy atbest (for those non-Southerners...we don't have trucks doing around with salt in some of these smaller towns. Music Town...yes...but not here). Her words to me were, "Well, we're planning on having a conference call for such-and-such meeting. I'll let you know." Meaning...SHE'S not going to the main office The rest of us had to go in Of course, daycare looked at me like, "HOW DARE YOU BRING YOUR KIDS?" Even though they're open, they've previously said they don't close in inclement weather, and there were already two kids there.
MrsMB Your daycare workers have a stick up their ass, I swear. They're constantly hassling you for essentially just being human. I don't get them. lol.

I think most people here in this small town are able to run quickly away from work at a moment's notice when the wind blows. It's verrrry country out here and just the way it is...I work in a dog-eat-dog environment down in Music town. They don't get the difference.
MrsMB- I think I may have asked this before, but you hire every Monday? That’s either a high turnover rate, or have you hired 100,000 people by now? Lol
bk1- I hope he hears soon. And I hope you enjoy your trip.
I worked noon-midnight Friday-Monday. I feel like I’m finally coming out of the fog. (I always feel like I’m in work mode for the whole 4 days I work)
I made it to the gym today for a run. (I ran 2 miles, t felt great) Tomorrow dh has agreed to join me in a hot yoga class. (It’s free with our membership, so we figured why not.)
Not much going on the rest of the week, just trying to do stuff that we’ve been putting off. -organize stuff that needs to be filed -put together under the sink storage thing we bought -put together shelving unit for dds room -fold 2 loads of laundry -do sheets/towels -look at my sewing machine MIL just gave me -attempt to make something with the sewing machine
I'm so cold. I know y'all further north are laughing at us in the south, but we're not used to this! It literally hurts to breathe when I'm outside! My family all has ice days yesterday and today.
