erinshelley21 - if they are no longer your clients...why do any work for them? Other than goodwill and kindness, which don’t pay the bills. Really asking - I can’t tell how it works!

And it sounds like this is a back end thing, so the clients won't even know that he didn't do it himself. So you won't get any credit.

I'm at work today because I'm considered "essential" but technically not getting paid. Thanks government shutdown. I've been through this two other times, and we're always paid. Even the non-essential that don't have to show up to work. It just sucks not knowing when I'll get my next paycheck. The last shutdown opened my eyes and I created my own emergency fund for future shutdowns.

A little Sunday night vent... DD1 has a project due on Wednesday. We’ve been helping her a bit - prompting her to think hard about the questions, asking her about her process, things like that. But ultimately, it’s her project, and she has to present it next week in front of her class and parents.
A bunch of parents on Facebook are openly discussing that they are doing the work for their kids. I refuse to do that, and I’m pissed that my second grader might be the only kid with a project done by a second grader.
mae0111 - preach! Science Fair is this week. DD is sure a specific girl will win. The family does a ton of work - and feels no shame in it. Meanwhile, I let DD and her ESL family partner do it all. DD said she didn’t want to correct grammar “too much” so their reporting is rife with very typical ESL errors. I think it’s great that DD was empathetic and am fine with their board. I’m sure others will judge but....

2chatter, mae0111, I foresee me having similar issues when my kids get into 4H. MIL and SIL are very much control freaks and what little I've observed of them and my niece completing projects, it appears MIL and SIL are doing most of the work. That's not going to fly with me. They are going to have to be okay with posters and projects not looking perfect when my kids do them because my kids will be doing their own.

FFFC I have been guilty of this.

In my defense, I really like history and I really like replicas.
