Whoa! I am number 1399 on the hold list for Little Fires Everywhere. That is the highest I've ever been! My library only owns 66 copies. I may be getting the paper one for this. ๐

That is impressive! Makes my number 138 for "Before We Were Yours" look easy! lol
Thank you! I ended up buying We Should All be Feminists and I've read Little Women several times so it's good to be ready for the first two, then have some time for library holds after that.

I don't know if your library does this, but my library has the latest bestsellers (maybe one copy each of maybe 15 books) on special loans. You CAN do the whole waitlist thing, but they will also let you take the book out for one week (no renewals). I was able to read LFE in maybe 3 days - it's a pretty fast read.
Thank you for doing this. It is great to see the list, be able to get books put on hold (some have a long wait list), and hopefully participate this year.

I don't know if all libraries have that though.
I've never heard of my library doing that. They use overdrive.
I put a hold on the paper copy and I'm only #19 on that list. I should be able to get it.

I have Before We Were Yours if youโd like me to send it your way. I bought it to read for my IRL book club a few months ago. Totally understand if you donโt want to share your address, though.

Thanks for the offer!! I'll wait to see if the library list moves quickly since we have until the end of August before we have that discussion, but if I'm still on hold in July I will totally take you up on that!
