We have that one. Like all boosters, if there is no child in the seat, if it is not latched in, you are supposed to buckle the seatbelt around it to prevent it from becoming a projectile in the event of a crash, but if a child is in it, the seatbelt is the only required thing. But yeah, I use it because I'm not buckling the seatbelt around an empty seat every time my son isn't in the car.
