Challenge: Each day, think of one thing that makes you happy to remind you to enjoy and appreciate the little things. For example, I love that one of my dogs actually enjoys baths since she also enjoys getting muddy. (You don't have to share yours; I just did one as an example of how it can be however simple, especially since those are the things we often overlook.)
Getting in a bit of time here and there, but last week was busy, with this week looking to be busier yet. I was able to hang out with a friend for a bit. I tried to go to bed a bit early on two different nights which was a bust both times, as was sleeping in at all this morning. Those were the only bigger things I either did or attempted with regard to self care.
As for this week, I am hoping to squeeze in a haircut because my hair is really starting to get on my nerves, getting in the way such as being pulled by my purse strap when it got caught in the buckle. LO and I have a fun outing somewhat planned, just need to finalize the details. I have a million things to do before then though, so not much self care beforehand.
I had a 5 day weekend which was amazing. DS drove me crazy at times, but I got enough rest and time by myself. DH and I even went on a date night which we haven't done in a long time.
We had a date night. It was a bit hectic and stressful but worked out in the end.
DH finished the pinewood derby car, so thankfully that is over with. I've done two play dates in the last two weekends. Not really sure if that falls into self care but it got me out of the house at least while DH works on projects.
I finally had time to dye my roots. Wow my life sounds amazing- not! 😀
