covergirl82, I told my 6yo that she could join swim team when she completed all levels of swim courses in her age range. I’m hoping that takes a year. DNW three swim practices a night.

k3am, I toured a house that had a water closet right off the kitchen with no sink. No other room near. So you do your business, exit, walk 10 feet and wash your hands at the kitchen sink? It was weird. This was a custom built home. 🙄

I got soaked on the way into work despite my umbrella. My feet have been wet and cold since 6AM and I can’t stop sneezing now and feel slightly nauseous for no obvious reason. No no, germs, leave.

My only vent is my brother is still wound up so tight about meetings that it's taking a lot of patience. We talked for an hour, which went 45 minutes past when I normally go eat lunch, about when he would like to meet with people. Some of these plans are 3 weeks out and I know my guys won't want to plan something that far ahead. He keeps forgetting I did all of these renewals except for 1 last year in 6 weeks instead of the normal 10. He's legit worried about me not being able to schedule 8-10 meetings over the course of 7 weeks.
I did just meet with a realtor about our house though. She is going to call me this afternoon about how much she thinks DH and I can get out of it. She also said not to worry about the tears in the vinyl or putting cabinets in our bathroom where our washer and dryer used to be. I love her.
k3am the handles on the cupboards are just weird. I would totally break something with those steps within the first day. Also unless the grill is connected to me kitchen they belong outside not in a sunroom. That house is just weird.
Today has been a total tax season Monday. I forgot how much work I can't get done when the phone and door go crazy.
Weekend was really good. Saturday weather was crap but the college gymnastic meet was really good. Sunday we had a fake spring day. My crocus are starting to bloom. DD did about 5 hours of barn stuff. I have a friend needing help training/exercising a pony so DD is doing that now and had a great time and this lady who is a major horse person was super impressed with DD's skills. Then DD had riding lesson early evening and the big stables were packed. I swear only 5 horses were left in stalls and everyone was out riding so lesson was a little different as the arena was packed. I enjoyed being outside for the 5 hours as it was close to 60 and sunny.
Also on that kitchen, they totally could have avoided the cabinets going over the stairs AND added more storage by including a peninsula. But that would involve semi-custom cabinets and a more complicated template for the counter, so I'm sure that's why they were like oh, it's cool to have a cupboard on a step.
Basically, all I want to do is buy the before version of this house at the before price and fix it myself. I do a great job paying people who do a great job remodeling. I have people who can vouch for that.
So DH redeemed himself - he ashowed up at 5:00, got the kids ready for gymnastics, took them and is taking DS to McDonalds while DD goes to dinner with exh - weirdly both of these men apologized to me today for not helping more because they both have suddenly realized what a beat down three kids and working solo is. Waiting for the other shoe to drop...
DH brought a dress and a tank top from Loft for the Caymans with him. Nice touch.

So night 1 of DH being out of town has gone amazingly well . DS, who has been a total brat the last few weeks, was shockingly easy and nice. He practised piano and did his reading without whining, played nicely with DD, got himself into pyjamas and ready for bed. Then he came into DD's room and gave her and big hug and kiss and told her he loves her very much.

Celebration: the realtor got back to me yesterday and she thinks we could sell it for almost 30k more than what we paid. We have put about 20k in so we are sitting pretty!
campermom, Geez, that's scary. Hope that he feels better.
We got DD's blood work back from this morning. Her ESR score is still above normal, but now only a little bit instead of 10 times the regular top value like in August. She's still pretty anemic, and now we are going onto iron supplements. She gets retested again in 3 months. I guess that we are getting somewhere with her mystery episode, but still working on it.
campermom DD was down 6 solid days on Tamiflu and with the flu shot. Day seven she was like a different kid. Before that she couldn’t always walk and was grey. It was rough. Hope DS gets lots of rest! My insomniac kid slept a ton.
