Is it really only Tuesday????

This week feels sooooo long already and it's only Tuesday.  Wednesday is our end of fiscal year and I still have two deals hanging out there.  I'm not confident either will close.  One is a wait and see game and the other just has so much left to be done in order to finalize that I'm just not confident it'll close.  What's so frustrating about the latter is that I'm in a holding pattern.  There's a LOT that needs to get done but I can't go any further until I get something from two separate people.  My boss is asking me to be pushier with them than I would be on my own.  It's making me uncomfortable and seems to be a new norm.  It's making me think it might be time to move to a new position.  Love the company I'm with so I'd want to stay but maybe move into a new role.  I'm trying to give it a few weeks to see if I can find a way to be comfortable with the new norm but I'm not confident it will happen.

I really should go into the office today but it's 9am and I haven't showered yet.

Ugh that is frustrating kaneen.

I am feeling like this is a slow week too, London’s wheelchair came in last night and it looks pretty cool. A got it all set up, but now it has to be custom fitted to London and he’ll be ready to go.

This week is crawling. I've gotten up at 5:30 the past two days. This morning it was to help a friend move some stuff out of her soon to be ex's apartment. Oy The good thing is it got my heart rate up moving things up two flights of stairs. Now I'm at work and wishing I could go outside and play.

In fun news I'm planning a surprise birthday party for a friend. It's going to be so much fun. Two friends and I are doing it. We are going to have a sparkly glitter theme but no Glitter. For my 30th my husband threw me a party with a feather boa and confetti. I was finding feathers for years. We are also getting photos from all our friends for a photo book.

I'm irked at this contractor I hired. When he came for a quote, he was 30 min early. It'd be NBD but I was in a meeting. I commented that I wasn't expecting him for 30 minutes and I'm sure I sounded mildly irritated. He asked to use the bathroom. Whatever. Maybe it was a one off.

Fast forward to today. He arrives early. Again. When I was in a meeting. He then asked to use the bathroom. Again. And? He didn't wash his hands. So now I have to disinfect the bathroom and everything he touched when he leaves. This guy had better be good because he is driving me nuts. Thank goodness this is a small job so he should be done by tomorrow.

I'm here and trying to catch up on everything I couldn't get to last week. Fun times!

I am home again today but feeling a little bit better than yesterday, so that is good news. Today is day 6 of this horrible illness.

One of the other instructors at my studio asked if anyone was willing to lend her some showy shoes to use as props at the show. I have a bag packed for her with bright pink pumps with a big bow, green/teal snakeskin pumps with spikes, blue sequined leopard print pumps, and orange wedges with a big bow. Hello, my name is Scooby, and I have a shoe problem!

We had our quarterly meeting today. There is some organizational shifting going on that I think I should've known about before the meeting. I provided some feedback to our owner after the meeting and I don't think he was too happy with it.

Right now I feel like I'm in a no-win position and I just don't know what to do.

bullygirl979 gross, but when I worked for a hospital system, they had to install cameras at the wash stations of the OPERATING ROOMS because hand wash compliance was a 50%. 50 freaking percent for the surgeon and nurses who are about to reach around inside of you.   Good call on the chlorox and lysol after this guy leaves your house, though. Ick. 

Work is insane at the moment - the group I support (but don't report to) is having a lot of re-org and they're all sorts of flustered. My boss is (unsuccessfully) petitioning for another employee for me, because my workload is about double that of each of my counterparts and has been for at least a month now. Boss' boss is being so damn cheap and won't give me the resource. My inbox is still sitting at nearly 500 unread messages

Thanks ladies! Today ended up being crazy to say the least. I did go into the office which turned out to be a blessing since some of what came up required me finding people face to face so I could plead with them for contract concessions. Still don’t know if either deal will close tomorrow either

I have been listening to kexp in the mornings and every Tuesday, they say "it's Tuesday, the seventh best day of the week". It's so true. I am ready to sleep in.

The kids might be going to Florida with the other side of the family this Summer, I might take a vacation then as well.
