I'm going on a date tonight with the guy I'm yellow flagging. I think we're grabbing coffee. We had another odd conversation Tuesday night which was immediately followed by a text apologizing for being so weird and noting that I make him anxious. We shall see how this pans out in person.
I'm also supposed to be grabbing coffee with the older guy (I had been chatting with a few weeks ago) on Saturday.
I'm currently considering donating plasma. But I get woozy from needles. But I could use the money. Anyone have any experiences they want to share?

doriswe, I get woozy too. I've never donated plasma but I do have to give blood frequently for testing (thanks, cancer!). I find if I don't actually look, then I'm okay.

doriswe, I hope tonight gives you some clarity about the guy. I've never donated plasma, so I can't really help there. Needles themselves don't bother me, but my body overreacts to things being injected, so I have a weird combo where blood draws and donating blood go smoothly for me, but I pass out for vaccines and the tuberculosis test. Yay!
Add me to the "this week is totally dragging" group. Ughhhh. But at the same time, how the eff is it February already?!

I definitely look away when they do it! I almost passed out once when DD had to get blood drawn. She was probably 11 or 12 and they came at her with the needle and I got instantly light headed and had to sit down! They said I went white and thought they'd have to deal with me passing out lol!
Back at work today but our I terbet is down and so is our email server, so I can't even access emails by phone. So here I sit fuckibg around on my phone.
My fb feed is filled with all sorts of people down at the superbowl experience. I was suppose to volunteer at it Monday and tuesday but obviously that did not happen with being sick. The celebrity sightings are starting too. All these visitors are gonna freeze their asses off as the windchill is almost -30 right now.
I've been saying this week has been dragging since Tuesday! Tuesday people!
Yesterday was a whirlwind at work. It was our last day of the fiscal year and one of the partners put one of our deals in jeopardy by not delivering a contract for their services to the prospect. So, we decided to about face and have us provide the services instead. I had to estimate a deployment, get services approval for the timeline/scope/hours, justify and get approval for a discount high enough it had to go to the very top person in our services organization, draft a contract, negotiate said contract, then get the prospect CIO to sign all in less than 8 hours. Ladies, that's normally 8 or so WEEKS of work and I had to get it done in less than 8 HOURS. I cannot believe we pulled it off. But we did and deal is signed, sealed and delivered. A seriously good day!
And now the letdown from the adrenaline is so drastic that I want to sleep for days.
This does feel like a ridiculously long week. Yesterday some things happened at work that made me realize I need to find a new job (one of which was my fault, the other a general attitude here). I'm looking to move on at the end of June/beginning of July, but I want to start looking soon to keep my options open. It will also be a good way to make more money. It's time, even though I'd originally been hoping to stay a little longer.
kaneen, it sounds like you deserve to sleep for the rest of the week. Nicely done!
Yes, longest week ever over here, too. At least I'm now just 2 weeks away from vacation (7 day cruise with M and about a dozen friends).
I've never done plasma, although I sure wanted to a few years ago when I really needed the $. My iron levels are always borderline just for regular whole-blood donations, so I'm not a good plasma candidate.
Our SPCA has a senior Saint Bernard who just seems lovely. I need three dogs like I need a hole in my head. Especially three dogs with three sets of different needs. Argh.
This week has been dragging for me, too, but I know exactly why. Mr. Smock had to work on Sunday so I was chasing the girls solo. It totally didn't feel like the weekend! But I'm ditching him with the girls tomorrow night so I can go out for margaritas with my friends, whoo!
