After starting last week with puking dogs, the situation quickly changed to a sick kid. He came down with a nasty cold involving so much coughing that it caused him to puke a few times also. After he puked on me and coughed a few times in my face, I knew it was basically inevitable that I would end up sick also. My throat is so sore, and I get coughing fits where it feels hard to get a good breath in during. Now MH has the occasional coughs, which is how LO and I both started, so I am sure he'll be out of commission soon (he's one of those that lead to there being the stereotype of the "man-cold"). As you can guess, I've not done a lot of self care other than snuggling with LO. Hoping that I can take it easy as much as possible this week, though LO is in the still-sick-but-regained-energy stage, so we'll see how successful I will be.
I usually don't post in the self-care posts because I suck at making time for myself, but a few weeks ago my friend told me about the Duolingo app. I started using it to learn Spanish, and it's really fun. I only committed to 10 minutes/day, and I've been able to keep up with it for a month (only missed two days). So yay!
I really do need to try to do something active this week, though.

Around the same time my DS was diagnosed with ADHD in December, I joined a gym again for the first time in years. I've taken up group cycling/aka spinning, and it has been so good for me to work up a sweat and clear my head for that hour during class. I plan to go on Wed. and Friday this week.
I was pretty lazy on my days off, but I did manage to think of good things every day. And I got a few things knocked off my to-do list. I've been working on keeping healthier habits. I started doing yoga again, walking more, and we've been doing pretty good eating well.
