“Because the Obama economy was so weak all of these years, we had just artificially cheap money,” Hannity said, referring to a Fox News analysis he had seen on the cable network.
He explained that “cheap money” is from borrowing at “ridiculously low rates,” which he added must now end.
“The government has artificially, the Fed has artificially, kept the price of money down and the price of borrowing down, and now that’s going to come to an end.”
Then, he declared that the plunge ― which saw stocks erase all their 2018 gains ― is actually good.
“In many ways, it’s a sign of the strength of the economy more than anything else,” he said in comments posted online by Media Matters.

Signs global rout will go on, per N.Y. Times: "The market sell-off in the United States ricocheted across the world [today] as investors from Tokyo to Hong Kong and London to Frankfurt voted with their feet and futures markets indicated the American stock market could be in for another tough day."
"We don't live in a dictatorship or a monarchy. I swore an oath—in the military and in the Senate—to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, not to mindlessly cater to the whims of Cadet Bone Spurs and clap when he demands I clap," Sen. Tammy Duckworth tweeted Monday evening.
Brinkley recalled the incident to Porter magazine, saying Trump got her number and called her while she was staying at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
“My phone rings and this guy goes, ‘Hey, Christie, it’s the Donald.’ I say, ‘Hi, Billy,’ because I was dating Billy [Joel] at the time,” Brinkley alleges. “But the voice goes, ‘No, no. It’s the Donald! … I hear you’re leaving for Aspen tomorrow. I am too. I’d like to give you a ride on my private jet.’“
Brinkley continues, “So I reply, ‘Thank you, but I have already arranged my flights.’ I knew he was married, and there he was asking me to go on his plane. He was kind of flirty about it. He was out chasing skirts.”
President Trump and Ivana were married for 12 years before splitting in 1990, following his highly publicized affair with Marla Maples. Brinkley claims she knew of Trump’s womanizing ways, calling him “smarmy.”
“I’m done being discreet,” the model exclaims. “I’ve had dinner with him. I’ve always found him smarmy, as in, ‘Watch out, part the waves, the rich people are coming, everything is gold, solid 24-carat gold, the best, the greatest, nobody else has more gold on anything in their house than me. Did you bring a brush? Let’s gold-leaf it!’”
Hogan Gidley, a White House spokesperson, told NBC News Tuesday morning that Trump was being "tongue in cheek" when he accused the Democrats of “treason." The president, Gidley said, was simply trying to make the point that there are positive things going on that all Americans should celebrate regardless of their party.
*********
Wasn't the whole big thing with these dumb shitheads that Trump "tells it like it is" and "just says what everyone's thinking"?
These dipshits still haven't figured out that what the Office of the President says has weight. The President is throwing out "treason", that is something not taken lightly.

I hope the next Democratic candidate wins by campaigning on a ~ "make the American president dignified again" slogan. Every other day this dumpster fire further erodes another standard of behavior. If he's not bragging about his nuclear weapon "button" on Twitter, then he's idly speculating about treasonous behavior in openly partisan political speeches. How much lower can he sink? I'm sure we'll find out. He has no shame.

Well, they never took anything the previous President(s) said seriously, so why start now?
“"We don't have a flu season and don't receive it when somebody threatens you with everybody's getting the flu," Gloria Copeland — who co-founded the Kenneth Copeland Ministries in Texas with her husband — said during a video clip posted online by Right Wing Watch, the Huffington Post reported.
She said she is praying for every person who has symptoms of flu. "I'm asking you lord by your supernatural power to heal them now from the top of their head to the soles of their feet...Jesus himself gave us the flu shot. He redeemed us from the curse of flu," she said.
"Just keep saying that: "I'll never have the flu. I'll never have the flu. Put words, inoculate yourself with the word of God. He himself bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by his stripes I was healed. I am healed."

Oh, they know. But as long as it serves their purposes and keeps them in power they just choose to look the other way.
I need Morgan Freeman to record "a statist abomination, a plump, be-wattled authoritarian-wannabe man-baby with the intellectual horsepower of a toaster oven" as my ringtone.

GAG. I used to work for the "Name It and Claim It" evangelical sector and my facepalming over the insistence that one shouldn't even acknowledge they are ill may have scarred me for life.
SHUT UP. Pretty sure Jesus could also have had a hand in smart people developing medical treatment. But by all means, ask for a donation as you blame people for why they're sick (hint: not enough faith).

The combination of the belittling nickname with Duckworth's dignity and grace is so perfect. I love her so much. I'm sure Trump hates any woman who isn't intimidated by him.

These are the same people who had a measles outbreak who then thought a vaccine was a good idea. But not before because Jesus
