Has anyone purchased an open box item from Wayfair? I am reading their FAQs and it does not address how open box items are handled. They have some amazing deals, but I am not sure if I should be wary? I cannot even tell if they are final sale items.
There is a light fixture I am looking at that is open box for about $50 and the original price is about $250.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone had any good/bad experiences? TIA!

Wow, that is a deal! No experience with them, but I feel like their customer service is really good if you call, so that might be worth a try. I've had no problems with Lamps Plus Open Box deals.
Ah, I almost tagged you dr.girlfriend b/c I knew you did an open box, I just couldn't remember which one.
Yeah, I stalked the pendants for my kitchen renovation and got them for about half price at Lamps Plus Open Box. I've bought at least a few things from Wayfair and have found their customer service to be great. I remember one person on here complaining about a bad CS experience with Wayfair and we were all so surprised. We told them to call back and say "I'm on a decorating message board, and everyone was so surprised to hear..." -- IDK if it was just getting a new person or name-dropping the social media angle, but they got their problem resolved speedily!
I don’t, but literally half the time when I have ordered something from there, it is missing pieces or damaged and they end up sending me a new one. I last ordered an ottoman and it was missing the legs, so I asked them to send me legs, and they sent me a whole new ottoman (I guess I’ll give the other one away to someone who wants to find legs?). Anyways, they do have super responsive customer service, so it’s worth a try, assuming they guarantee all the parts will get to you.

You can get screw-in furniture legs at Home Depot for $2 - $5 each! Pick some up and then list the ottoman at close to full price on CL or your Facebook page. Very MM. :-)
Thanks all! I went ahead and ordered it today. I called to confirm, and you can return if it is broken, which is really what I was worrying about. I cannot imagine not liking the light fixture in person, but it was a risk I was willing to take for 70% off :-)
I know you already bought the light, but as a little assurance, I bought two cream colored dining chairs open box from them and they were just fine, someone must have changed their mind about the color or how many they needed.
