I'm going crazy over here. We have had a long run of sicknesses. At the start of the year, both DH and I had awful colds and I think the kids had something...don't even know anymore. Then, the last three weeks in January, we had kids sick mid-week/end of week, every week. In good news, no one else caught DD1's stomach bug, so that was a blessing. And by some miracle we managed to go to a waterpark for 2 days, 1/31 and 2/1, in between illnesses.
On 2/2 DD3 was running a temp. Turns out she probably has the flu (they didn't test but said it's likely flu), and she has had a fever every day since (have taken her in already; I think maybe finally today she is doing a little better--we'll see). DD2 also likely has the flu, but hasn't been as bad. They are both coughing on the couch watching a show.
I now wonder if my older kids actually had a mild version of flu earlier in the month. We all had shots. I sure HOPE they had it b/c I don't want anyone else coming down with this, including me. Oh, and DH has bronchitis or something. And our home phone is randomly not working. But the dishwasher IS working again, so that's a huge plus!
We have Disney on Ice Friday night, so I really hope everyone is healthy by then!
ETA: and both little girls are INCREDIBLY CRANKY AND WHINY. Ahhhhhhh!! Maybe it is going to be a movie day.
I hear you! At least one of us has been sick since before the holidays (mostly me and DS).
I was just praying that he wasn't sick for his birthday party this past Saturday (he'd been fighting a cold - mostly just a runny-stuffy nose - all week) and thankfully he was o.k.! We invited 10 kids, 10 RSVP'd yes, and only 1 cancelled due to sickness - I couldn't believe it!
I've gone through the house regularly with Lysol wipes wiping down surfaces, tried to open the windows a bit for fresh air when possible, and our home air filtration has been running 24/7; I don't know what else to do! I currently have a scratchy throat and am hoping it's not something else starting up!!

My dd was finally going to go back to school today after being home since last Wed., and we are having a freak ice storm, so school is closed and both kids are home. And dd throws a tantrum every time she has to take her medicine and I literally cannot take another one of her tantrums. And I think dh and I are both coming down with the Strep that she had. We leave for Disney next week and it's literally the first vacation we will have taken in years, so I'm really hoping we are all healthy by then and stay healthy through the trip.
Oh no, expectantsteelerfan!!!! I really hope you guys are all healthy next week so you can enjoy the big trip! I'm worried about Disney on Ice! ACTUAL DISNEY is a way bigger deal.
We are going to the show tonight. The little girls are super excited. I think we are finally on the mend after a lot of long/scary nights. Last night, DD3's temperature, after 6 nights of fever, suddenly dropped really LOW. Like I went in to check on her fully expecting fever, and it was 94.7 in one ear and 96 in the other. I was freaking out. We couldn't get it to go above 96.6. Called the nurse line twice, almost took her to the ER in the snow. Ended up sleeping with her and checking temp throughout the night. Turns out it's totally fine and sometimes can happen after prolonged or really high fever. Crazy. She has an ear infection now so is on antibiotics (3 doses in so far) and should start feeling a lot better soon. DD2 is mostly better but has a "really borderline on whether to treat" ear infection. We have the antibiotics but aren't going to give them unless her fever goes up or she starts complaining of ear pain.

Hope you have fun at Disney on Ice!
I'm fairly certain dh and I both just have colds. He got sent home from work (because they are super paranoid) and went to the dr. and his strep test was negative.
DD is definitely better (can't remember if I posted, but she had a super high fever for 3 days, then 2 days where she was fine in the morning but spiked a fever in the afternoon, then was fever free but got a rash, so I took her to the dr. and she was still positive for strep and the rash was impetigo. So she's been on antibiotics (Keflex to knock out the impetigo), and she feels fine, and the rash is almost gone. But she has to take the Keflex until Thursday, and we leave for Disney on Wed., and that stuff tastes AWFUL so we literally have to bribe her with a Reese's PB cup 3x a day every day to take it.
I'm just really really really hope we are done being sick till after Disney!
