Hola again!

I’m so happy today is Thursday. We are doing a pizza and bingo day at work. It should be fun. I’m so glad it’s almost Friday. I am just over this week. I’m always off early on Fridays so I’m coming in early to leave early and have it feel like a 3 day weekend.

I’m also trying to catch up with doglove on my Fitbit challenge. She’s killing it like always. It’s inspiring so keep it up. One day I’ll catch you while I’m not on a vacation or work installation.

Happy Thursday!! I'm so glad it's almost the weekend.

Today I'm supposed to be going to a fair for my agency to help with finding new interns for next year. I got an email indicating that the school doesn't think we need to go because students from their other program are a better fit for us. I need to talk with my boss this morning, but since I haven't heard from her yet I need to be ready to run right to that this afternoon, and then from there to dance classes. Fun!

The soreness from Modern Tuesday is finally kicking in. Muscles I haven't used in a long time, apparently!

Hey everybody!

I decided to go on a mini-road trip tomorrow for a concert.

Today I am getting out of the office for a professional development/team building thing for work. It might be fun?

neonpink I'm going now more than ever with this new pup because she's so young and energetic. I feel exhausted all the time, but I guess it's a good way to get more of my anxious energy out!

I am back from Asheville, it was a quick trip. The drive was a bit exhausting, but the experience was worth it! We had some 8 course dinner on Tuesday night that lasted 4 hours. It was delicious. The hotel was amazingly beautiful. I had this fantastic breakfast there yesterday. I'm pretty sure I'll never get that experience again because of the cost. It looks like it'll probably be out of range for a potential conference venue unless we can figure out a way to generate more income.

We're having a housewarming party on Saturday and we are not prepared at all. I go between completely stressed out to giving zero fu@ks. Everyone likes heavy apps and booze right??? I figure I'll make cupcakes too. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be fine.

I'm SO OVER WORK right now. Just all of it. I'm sure a good part of this burnout feeling is because I have vacation coming up, so I'm very thankful I will have a week off to reset and soak up some sunshine. Yay for vacations out of cell phone range! Sorry everyone, I simply cannot dial in for that con call when I'm floating in the middle of the ocean (because yes, someone just asked if I can join calls on days my calendar clearly shows as vacation days).

TGIT!  I'm off tomorrow, so today is my Friday (yay).

DH annoyed me this morning.  His car needs an oil change, so we were both supposed to head to the dealership, where we would drop his car off and carpool the rest of the way.  He normally goes a different way to work, but the dealership is just a little further along my normal route to work.  Anyway, he left before me this morning, and with it being stupid early, I totally forgot on the way to the dealership that I was supposed to go there and headed straight to work.  Thankfully, DH had put his backpack in my trunk, so when I went to go get my laptop out of my trunk at work, I saw his backpack and stared at it for a solid minute trying to figure out why it was there before remembering that I was supposed to be meeting him at the dealership.  Then, I headed straight to the dealership.  When he got in the car, he was mildly snarky about trying to stay warm.  I start to tell him the backpack story, because it's funny, and when I said I got to work, he interrupted me with a very annoyed "YOU WENT TO WORK?!"  He was still pissy for the rest of the drive even after I explained that I didn't even get in the building before I realized my mistake.  Dude, it was an honest mistake (and an easy one to make, since it's the route I normally take, it's not my car that's going in for service, and it's not even 6 am yet), you're the one who left before me (thus getting to the dealership way before me and having to wait outside), and frankly, I'm doing you a favor by letting you use my car instead of having to take the courtesy shuttle like everyone else.  Chill out.

Our first choir rehearsal is tonight. I'm so excited. The music is very unique.

doglove, I'm glad you got a chance to pamper yourself with some great food and a king sized bed to yourself! And yes, you are totally fine with apps and booze. If I was invited to a housewarming, that is totally what I would expect!

Hi ladies! I was in Florida earlier this week (shocker) and had a chance to surprise my parents and have dinner with them which was fun. I got stuck in the Jacksonville airport for 8 hours yesterday/last night which was not fun. But I'm home now and very excited to get a good night's sleep tonight.

My sister has been interviewing for a job with my old company and found out last night they are planning to make her an offer. I am SO EXCITED for her!!

In other news the debate is back on about the dog's name. I really loved Oscar but I think I'm going to cave simply because I can't keep this up any longer. I just want the poor guy to have a name.

I have a funny story to share with you guys on how I nearly peed myself last night.

In the middle of the night I woke up to go pee. Of course I was half asleep and just stumbled into the bathroom. Well I go to untie my pj pants and somehow I get the drawstring waist into a huge knot. I now start panicking and that makes me have to pee even more. I keep tugging at it and of course this just makes the knot tighter. Finally I notice a scissors on the shelf and I grab it and frantically cut the drawstring before I piss on myself. All this while I am half asleep.

Of course after all of this, I was wide awake for a good hour.
Thank god I have today off.

Work has been incredibly slow and boring this week, but tomorrow is my work from home day which means I really won't have to do much other than answer an email or two. So bring on the weekend! We're supposed to have a big snowstorm tonight into tomorrow, and I really hope DD has a snow day tomorrow so we can just hang out at home and play in the snow some.

I also want to see the new 50 Shades movie this weekend - yep, I'm THAT girl! lol

Whew, because sub Trader Joes for BJs and that's exactly what we're doing with cheese and crackers/veggie and fruit trays, etc. I just can't with making all the things and want to make it easy on ourselves.

Definitely make it easy on yourself, doglove! My sister is the kind to make EVERYTHING from scratch, and even she used a bunch of frozen apps for their housewarming. Everyone loved everything.

DH is officially forgiven...he gassed up my car for me.

Banks.  I HATED it when she texted it to me but LOVED it when I said it out loud to him when I got home.  So Banks is his name!

Enjoy your vacation. That’s why I make a point to say my phone will not work while traveling. I’m on Vacation. I need a break.
