How did you do last week? I didn't do much of anything last week. Ugh.
What are your plans for this week? (Fitness, nutrition, meal plans, etc.) Honestly, my only goal for this week is to be kind to myself. I know that I need to get back into the rhythm of workouts and healthy eating, but I also need to take care of my mental health and right now I need to make that a priority. So I'm going to allow myself to relax and veg for a couple of days, rather than making myself push through the pain and act like everything is fine.
AWs/Vents/Randoms/etc? See my plans for the week. lol.
Last week was pretty good! I decided to start a 30 day challenge and did 6 days in a row and took a rest day yesterday. Planning to get in my yoga video today at nap time.
For meal planning I've learned it is easier to plan 3-4 days at once. It seems if I plan longer we don't follow it.
M- lemon garlic chicken skillet, steamed broccoli T- sheet pan meal, sausage and roasted veggies (DH will cook) W- steaks, twice baked potatoes, salad Th- chicken or tilapia, depending on how I feel F- take out. Planning at home date night.
I have a dry erase board in my kitchen where I write my meal plan. I've been writing it in a notebook at the end of the week with what we actually ate. I just wanted a reference point hoping it will make it easier/faster to come up with my plan every week. I'm also trying to plan ahead one dinner a week when DH cooks to give me a night off and cut back on our eating out. Let's hope it works!
bk1 - What 30 day challenge are you doing? I really like the idea of writing down meal planning notes after the fact! I bet that will be a great way to help look for trends in what works and what doesn't as time goes on.

I ate all the food last week 😫 did a lot of walking though.
I didn’t feel like stepping on a scale this morning and feeling crappy about myself so I’ll wait until tomorrow morning. DH is all depressed he gained 15lbs on vacation.
I’ll add my meal plan when I get home since I’m going grocery shopping once my laundry is done.
Workout schedule: Monday: rest day, so sore from the car ride. May do some yoga Tuesday: lower body Wednesday: upper body and core Thursday: rest Friday: lower body Saturday: upper body Sunday: rest
I need to fix my treadmill again. The wires keep loosening so the buttons don’t work.
wineandcheese - I vote that you give yourself a week off from the scale. You were on vacation! You deserve to enjoy the time you spent on vacation! The scale will still be there next week.
Last week was good. Most total time spent working out in a long time! I am coming to terms with the fact that I don't have the stamina to work out on a long travel day.
Plans for this week are to get outside for a couple walks. The weather is supposed to be warm and decent. Plus my usual DVD workouts and group exercise on Saturday. Goal for the week is 3+ hours of workouts total.
Meal plan is not particularly healthy this week, but here it is: S - Vegetarian corn dogs, mac n cheese, peas M - Crockpot taco chicken and rice T - Leftover crockpot chicken W - Tuna noodle casserole and broccoli T - Travel night so something from a restaurant... F - Fish Fry, but I will probably get the baked fish S - Pasta

katespade thanks girl! I think I’m going to take your advice and skip it for a week.
Week menu complete! Monday: cheeseburger soup w/ biscuits Tuesday: sweet and sour meatballs with brown rice, broccoli Wednesday: shredded beef tacos Thursday:French onion chicken over egg noodles & salad Friday: shrimp scampi with mashed cauliflower Saturday: grilled steak, roasted sweet potatoes, salad Sunday: chicken parm lasagna, salad
Lunch will be leftovers or pb and jelly sandwich.
Breakfast will be overnight oats or microwave egg cup I got on sale. With grapefruit.
Snacks I have oranges, apples, baked chips and jerky.
Random question. Why is healthy food so expensive? A bag of apples, $4. A 6 pack of apple pies $2. I spent $100 today just on fresh fruits, vegetables and meats. It was the same thing with meats. Fresh chicken averaged $5 a package but breaded packaged chicken patties were $2.50. No wonder why there is a weight problem here.

My goal last week was to run 15 miles and I ended up with 13 miles. Not great but not bad considering everyone being sick last week.
My goal for this week is 20 miles. I ran 5.5 miles today so I am off to a good start! I am hoping it doesn’t rain tomorrow and I can run tomorrow, Thursday or Friday, and one day over the weekend.
Meal plan so far...
Monday: teriyaki chicken with stir fry veggies and brown rice Tuesday: leftovers Wednesday: chicken Parmesan Thursday: leftovers Friday: spicy Thai noodles with chicken Saturday: bbq chicken salad Sunday: leftovers

Ran 5.5 miles on Friday and another 5.8 today! Total for the week was 22.3 so I surpassed my goal!
ETA: Today’s run was #22 for this year! I only ran 21 times for all of 2017 so I am off to a great start! I am also seeing that my fitness is getting better, although it’s still frustrating to be running 10:30-11:00 miles when pushing both boys...
