Oh hey! My big boss gave me a 10 minutes heads up that he wanted to turn our 10am meeting into a video call. Yikes, thanks for all the advanced notice! I guess he doesn't get that I don't wear makeup or anything but yoga clothes on my work from home days.
Loki also snored loud enough to be heard through my headset, LOL. Fortunately, big boss is in the UK and seems to share the Queen's affinity for corgis, so I had some pressure taken off me while I turned the camera to the sleeping pup.
Anyhow, it's a 4 day work week for me - vacation starts Friday! (well, vacation from work. Friday is my run errands and pack day, because we have a 5:30am flight on Saturday for our cruise).

Weekend was good! I slept a lot. Yesterday I decided to try all the new recipes so I made gnocchi and sauce from scratch, then baked them with some fresh mozzarella. It was amazeballs. Then I made a Bailey's chocolate cake, which was also delish. I'm currently staring at it on the counter.
Today is also an amazing day because it's my FIRST official day on my new job. I officially handed over the reins for the remaining pieces of my last account. WOOHOO to finally having a reasonable workload! And not having to deal with the other stuff!
The weekend was good. A combo of too much alcohol, and sleeping. The harry potter drag brunch was so so fun. Too many mimosas! We went to a gay bar afterwards to sober up. Lol.
Our party went well! Everyone seemed to have a good time, we will be eating heated up apps forever now and drinking all the beer and wine we got that was not consumed!
I also choked on a carrot, which was not fun. Thank goodness alecto819 was around because she saved me with the Heimlich maneuver.
Yesterday we got London into the chair and went on a small walk. He was stressed about it, but it is very cool and seems like it's going to be such a good asset for him once we can get him used to it.
chalupa, I am glad they were cool with the sleeping corgi.
Weekend was good, but exhausting. Went to a concert on Friday, ran into a bunch of people and had the best time. Saturday I took the kids to mother son night at school. Yesterday I was lazy.
This week is our office Olympics, so I'm giving up a break every day to do some random game but the prizes are pretty good so it might balance out.

You are way too adorable, gault! doglove, that's what you get for eating healthy food! :-P Glad you're ok! cuddlyevil, how is the kiddo doing after a few days of antibiotics?
Our weekend was really nice...I didn't have to be at the studio Thursday night, and I had Friday off, so it felt like an extra-long weekend! We ran some errands and stopped at a new winery on Friday. Saturday, DH's stepson's fiance came over and brought their 9-month-old daughter, so we all had fun playing with her. We decided that cat toys work equally well as baby toys. Sunday, I taught for 3 hours and took a class. I also made a really yummy lunch of steak roll-ups stuffed with onions, mushroom, spinach, and provelone, and served those with roasted brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. It was our Valentine's day meal, since we'll be out with friends on the actual date (and I don't like going out on V'day, anyway).
My weekend was really good. I spent time with a new friend Friday, had way more fun than I thought I would Saturday, and Sunday had time to rest but also spent some if it with a high school acquaintance who was in my city visiting. This week will be busy but good. I have a four day weekend coming up! I'm so excited.
Weekend was exhausting. I spent it working from the hospital because my father was admitted last Wednesday for emergency surgery (now we actually know why he was so sick last Sunday). Thankfully he came through the procedure okay.
Today was a remote work day so I could be at the hospital for follow-up testing. Some of my co-workers amaze me and not in a good way.
I need to figure out what to do about an employee. I want to only measure her performance against what she’s capable of, but I need her to be able to do more. She does best when I meet with her on a daily basis, but that is simply not sustainable for me (and this is not a role that should require so much checking in). At what point do you PIP someone out?

Guess who's who in the pictures!
That party looks awesome! Dobby and Trelawney. #harrypotternerd
