Oh hey! I have TWO DAYS LEFT before vacation starts. Well, less than 2 full days, now that I'm a couple hours into my work day. We're not bothering with any valentines plans, because I don't like going out to eat when everyone else is also out to eat, LOL. We'll do plenty of things on vacation, anyhow. We just booked ourselves a couples massage for one of our days at sea. That's totally better than a crowded tex mex restaurant tonight I have books loaded on my kindle app, scuba and snorkel trips reserved, and a walking food tour in Puerto Rico. Can.not.wait.

Work is a mess, but I'm doing my best to get everything done that I can so that my poor backfill doesn't want to cry when he takes over for me.

It's going to be 50* today - woot! Maybe that'll melt all the snow that's still hanging around.

I think today is another ridiculously busy/packed day at work. Tonight I need to make baked ziti for my class for tomorrow and I'm going to a hockey game with friends. Should be a nice night.

I've got to drop off a bunch of donations that our guests made to one of our favorite pet charity today. Hooray for helping animals! We aren't celebrating tonight either, although I'll make dinner like a usual Wednesday night and probably have some wine before I have to go on my cut-back on alcohol diet with the anti-depressant drugs. And Olympics!

My valentine's day present to myself is a run ALONE today. I have been running with Penny for weeks except on the days when A has off work and he'll exercise her. Although she's gotten a lot better on leash, I am so excited for an hour of solo running time and the weather is going to be a perfect low 60s.

7 night carribean cruise. We're stopping in Puerto Rico (food tour! yum), St Thomas (scuba diving to a shipwreck), Turks and Caicos (snorkel and feeding the stingrays), and the cruise line's private island (nothing planned. We will likely find some semi-shady spot and lay around). SaveSaveSaveSave

Yes! We did not need anything, we had to get rid of a lot of stuff that we had duplicates of so we asked our guests to donate instead of bringing us anything more for the house. They were all very generous, which is awesome.

Nope! Turns out if you're certified, you get to leap off a boat into the ocean, but uncertified divers just walk in from the beach and gradually get deeper (and in smaller groups so there's fewer divers per instructor and such). Seems like a fun way to try it out for the first time. SaveSave

We are going out with our friends tonight for our normal Wednesday Wining...we picked a restaurant that's kind of a dive-y sports bar, so hopefully it won't be too crowded for V'day. DH gave me two kinds of wine-soaked cheese, which is his traditional V'day gift to me. Other than that, we don't really celebrate.

I used my lunch hour to donate blood instead of going to Ash Wednesday mass, but I kind of feel like Jesus would be ok with that tradeoff. I'm also eating beef for lunch because, iron. But I am still fasting (lunch is/will be my only meal today). So I'm only partially half-assing Ash Wednesday.

I guess you could say my V-day gift myself is the incredible trip me and my 3 besties just booked.
We are taking a 10 day Mediterranean cruise in Sept 2019 on The Oasis of the Sea (Massive Royal Caribbean ship). We are splurging and getting a two floor suite with full butler service and a shit ton of other awesome amenities.

Now I just have to somehow wait patiently for 1 1/2 yrs to take this amazing trip.

I totally didn't realize that today was Valentine's Day until my boss wished me a happy Valentine's Day this morning. My best friend and her boyfriend of 5 years broke up a few days ago so I'm going to see if she wants to order dinner and drink wine tonight. I'll probably go get her some flowers.

I'm supposed to be taking a self paced virtual training course this week and I haven't even started. I really need to buckle down and get it done.

Yes, the wait is going to be hard.

The funny part is every time I go on their website, I find something new and exciting from our package.

Like we each get 3 massages over the course of 10 days and get front row seating for any shows we want to attend.

Maybe I should stay off the website and that will lower my excitement level. LOL!
