I know the board is dead and I’m probably a couple years behind the curve, but has anyone purchased a backyard playset they love?
I’ve been searching for playsets without the attached swings and not having a ton of luck. Our backyard is wider than it is deep and I keep running into clearance issues on one side. G hates to swing, but loves to climb and slide.
Ours is a gorilla playset and has two swings and a separate ledge another swing for but you could easily replace them with trapeze type swing or a spinner swing (like a big disc you can twist too - fits about 3 kids on if you want). It has climbing wall, playhouse, and sandbox too.
If he likes to climb, monkey bars are a good option, ours doesn't and it's the only thing I wish it did. Luckily our neighbors have monkey bars in theirs

I’m full of questions today.
Did you guys set yours up yourself or pay someone to do it? There were a couple of gorilla and Lifetime sets I’ve been eyeing, but there’s no way I can set it up myself. My super handy step-dad has offered to help, but I’d like to have it setup before his birthday next month. I also have no idea how long these take to ship, although I’m sure it’s seller dependent.
I NEED him to be able to go outside and play independently. I don’t have time to keep taking him to the neighborhood park every weekend day. LOL. I’ve looked at sets until my eyes start to cross and I’m ready to pull the trigger and be done with it!
mlkgls my parent's bought ours on clearance from BJs and my dad and I put it up together. It wasn't super hard to do, but it took the better part of a weekend.
The first gorilla one you posted is very similar to the one we have. Both of the boys, and the older neighborhood kids do like to play on it. So I think we picked one with decent longevity. I bet they sell climbing rope ladders that you could install on the regular swing hookups if he needs more stuff to climb.
This will probably be the year we get one too. There was one at Sam’s club that looked reasonable for the price. The company was Lifetime
The Lifetime set with the monkey bars option is a terrific sale price right now. I looked at that one, but their recommended safe zone is larger in the manual than what is listed on the Sams website. I’m leaning towards the other one at the moment.
If you do end up with the Sam’s option, they currently have 1.5% cash back at ebates.
