As a kid, I loved the 4th of July because it meant my birthday was soon after. That was more exciting than Christmas because it was for me only.
Now, it is a tie between Christmas and 4th of July. I love Christmas now that I have kids because I love seeing the holiday through their eyes - the lights, the magic of Santa, and our family time on Christmas Eve/Day. I still love the 4th of July because it means an epic party at my house to celebrate DH, DD, and my birthdays, along with our anniversary. We get to do what we want - which is hang out with family in the backyard while the kids run around.

Christmas b/c of the kids.
May Day. IKR? I was the only one celebrating.
ETA: It just occurred to me that maybe not everyone knows how May Day is celebrated. You make up little baskets, go to your friends' homes, put them down, ring the doorbell, and take off before you're seen. My mom used to drive me around. Mostly just my crushes got them.

EATA: My memory has clearly failed me so here's a link:
I remember celebrating May Day at school when I lived in FL as a kid. But I didn’t know why we did it and I never celebrated it in any other state I lived.

We were the only ones celebrating in KS, but my mom is from Nebraska where it may have been a little bigger deal.
Christmas and Christmas. It's always seemed magical to me, the lights, food, everyone is a little nicer. Now, I live my traditions with the kids, we watch all of the holiday specials, preferably with all the lights out except for the tree, we make cookies and candy.
Halloween a close second. I love to watch all of those shows like the Haunted, and scare myself silly. We also have a lot of activities such as Halloween camping and such during that time.

Christmas and Christmas. I love the magic of the season and how I can cozy up inside with a fire and watch the snow. Christmas through my kids' eyes is awesome too.
HeartofCheese, we celebrated May Day when I was kid and I loved that tradition. I wish I could introduce it to my kids, but no one here does it and I think they'd look at us like we were crazy.
Christmas has always been my favorite. I love the decorations and traditions and time with all my family.
Current favorite: Thanksgiving (on the years we are with my family) Super low key long weekend away with my siblings and parents. We're lucky we get out of pajamas for dinner and we do our annual girls' trip to Black Friday shop the next day. I love it!
As a kid, Christmas. We had some great traditions and parties growing up with a big family. Now, it just feels like chaos and a lot to manage between my family and DH's. But the kids love it, so it is fun to see it through their eyes.
Christmas. I still love the lead up to Christmas - all of our family traditions with the kids and the magic in their eyes, but the actual day? Not so much, because we have to go to my in laws which gives me so much anxiety and I hate being held hostage in their home.

As a kid, Christmas was my favorite holiday. I still love the decorations, music and food as an adult, but hate all of the stress that comes with it. I think Thanksgiving is my favorite now. The food is always good and I don't have to hear DH complain about going to my parents house since we host.

I think Christmas is still my number 1 even though the cost and stress make it less fun. Really I don't like Christmas day but I like the lead up and activities surrounding it.
Christmas and Christmas. When I was a kid it was the general excitement, the presents, the lights, etc.
Now, it's everything - the food, celebration, decorating, seeing the kids so excited, baking dozens and dozens of cookies. I start actively whipping my kids into a Christmas frenzy immediately after Halloween. I don't even wait for Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving I kick it up and they're borderline insane with excitement by Christmas Eve. Love every minute of it.
4th of July. When I was a kid we had fun picnics with kid games and a Maryland crab feast (after ‘crab races’). I went to college in DC and someone would bring a couch onto the national mall and we’d party all day and watch fireworks. Now we swim, travel, drink, etc and it’s still fun. And there’s no weird pressure from family or crazy gift buying preparation.
I find nearly all holidays to be fun with kids, though. I feel like time goes by so fast now that it’s fun to mark the passage of time with holidays.
I love summer, so I love all the summer holidays. I guess Memorial day and Labor day would be my favorites. 4th of July is a bit much. I also like Easter because it means spring/ summer is coming.
Christmas was my favorite holiday as a kid. Now it's a lot of work to make it fun for the kids. And lots of family drama.
