I had a really hard time too. But for me it worked when you take the img code out of the beginning and end. Try that!

FOR AN AVATAR

1. Go to tinypic.com

2. Select your photo

3. Before hitting submit, resize - select "avatar"

4. Click submit, enter the security code

5. When your codes come up, select the one under "direct link for layouts" - copy it.

6. Come back to this board

7. At the top, go to profile

8. Click "modify profile"

9. Find the box for an avatar and paste your code in (plus any text you want)

10. Scroll down and select "modify profile"

11. You might need to go back and adjust the width/height for your avatar to make it less distorted

Thank you metucker for the avatar instructions. I tried for 20 minutes and then gave up. I couldn't use mrs+harlow here so I picked a Jean Harlow character name. I thought about queenofdisney, but thought perhaps I would be given a clean slate.
