sleeeeeeep. Also, going to see Black Panther - vacation time meant I didn't get to see it either opening weekend or last weekend.
And I think I'm going to brave some car dealerships to go test drive some new(er) trucks tomorrow. Owen is a bit...err...heftier than Larry was, and I feel like I need a bit more tow capacity to safely get him up and down hills, lol. Of course, this kicks off a series of actions - I also now need to scrub out the old trailer and get it listed for sale, because I'm sure not ordering a new one without $$$ from the old, and of course I want a complete custom trailer if I'm buying a new one. LOL. Owen better appreciate this taj mahal of a trailer that I designed for him (just wait - I bet he'll be on it for 10 minutes before he decides to start kicking the wall or something).

We were supposed to go to an event at the art gallery tonight but it's snowmaggedon here so it's cancelled. Boo. Tomorrow we are going out for dinner with friends. Sunday P wants to go to the auto show so I'll go with him to that. Then our designer is coming over for a couple of finishing touches.
At some point I want to play with my new camera, too! I'm going to sign up for my photography course today, too. Between this and the macaron making class, I'm super excited!
Oh, and a random? One of P's friends sent me the nicest card yesterday. She said wrote a long note and said how happy she was for us and that she could tell I "was different from the beginning". And that as P's friend she loves how I treat him and how much she appreciates that.
We are taking A and G (the daughters from our sponsored family)to the zoo tomorrow. A wants to see the pandas one more time before they head to Calgary.
Other than that, we'll be getting ready to head to Florida. My SIL has been there since MIL's surgery, and it's soon our turn to take over so that SIL can head back to work.
Nothing fun! I'm on call tonight and I'm currently dreading it. Full moonish...that can never be good! I'm contemplating quitting this job, but I feel guilty because two people resigned last month. And I could use the extra income, but on the other hand, I'd probably end up making more if I just got an hourly part time job.
Otherwise, I'm kidless all weekend so I have no idea what to do with myself. I need to replace the baking element in my oven so that's probably one of my projects for tonight. Grocery shopping, errands, laundry, blah blah blah. I have the possibility of a few dates this weekend but I'm kinda "ehhh" about them.
Tonight I was going to go home and clean the kitchen (it needs it desperately) but my friend invited me to bockfest and pretty much told me to come because I need a break. Tomorrow is laundry and more cleaning.
The restoration company cleaned out my basement last night. So I am feeling slightly less overwhelmed.
I fell up the stairs and hurt my hand. So I am officially done with this week.

TGIF! Tonight is a quiet night. Tomorrow, I have to go to a new member orientation thing for the glider club. I think it will be too windy to fly DH's Cessna up there, so if we drive, we'll stop by the winery where I'm a member of the wine club to pick up the latest shipment and have a glass or two. I think we're going to do a movie afternoon at a friend's house on Sunday, and then I have like 4 hours of teaching and classes.
My work trip to Vietnam is getting pushed back a bit...probably about 1 month. But it looks like I'll have ~3 weeks of work, and DH will hopefully be able to join me for the last week of work, and then we'll stay an extra week for fun. Time to start researching where to go!
Tonight I'm going to dinner and the orchestra with a girlfriend. Looking forward to that.
Saturday is gong to be so busy, omg. First up is the polar plunge with my work group! It is going to be about 50 degrees outside, which is nuts. There's an after party, then headed to another friend's house to hang out.
Sunday is thankfully open right now. Laundry time, most likely. And doing taxes.
I've been so busy. I fell sleep sitting up in an armchair in my living room because I had the heater up a little high and was so warm and cozy. I'm so glad this week is over, there's been so much crap going on an it's been wearing me down. I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend and doing some baking.
I threw my friend a surprise party last night. It was amazing. I had 30 people in my house. A friend made the most beautiful orange chocolate cake and my house was a paper flower wonderland. My friend was so surprised she cried.
