I did yoga videos every day except yesterday. I didn't have a chance to yesterday until the girls were in bed at 8. I just didn't feel up to it. Instead I went to bed by 8:30 and read on my Kindle until 10. We have a treadmill and eliptical at home that haven't been used in a long time. I talked to DH this weekend about cleaning out the garage and getting the machines set up out there. It's going to be a couple months because we need to have a garage sale to make room but I'm excited about the idea.
I haven't been making big changes to my eating because I didn't think I would keep up with it if I did too much at once. Slowly I've been adding in more salads for lunch, less sugar overall, and trying to cut out the snacking after dinner. I haven't lost any additional weight but DH was commenting on how good I'm looking and he can tell I'm slowly getting stronger. It feels good to do something for myself.
katespade Have you been following the March yoga calendar? wineandcheese How was your snacking this past week? Were you feeling well enough to get your workouts done? suzv How is your stress?
bk1 - Unfortunately, I threw out my hip on Saturday so I wasn't able to do much of anything this weekend. I told myself that I would rest it over the weekend, and start fresh this week (today). Today's workout looks like a short and calm one, so I'm hoping my hip will cooperate. It's still sore, but not as painful as it has been for the past few days.
It's also time for H and I to start figuring out our plan for getting back to the gym. This week, I'm hoping we can sit down and make a new schedule. We won't start it this week, but having a plan will help us decide on when we'll get back to it.
I need to build a meal plan, too. I've been feeling really crummy so I haven't been getting enough calories, and I know that isn't healthy. I need to build a schedule and make myself stick to it, before I lose too much more weight.
katespade Darn I hope it feels better soon. I hear ya on needing a schedule. I always do better when I have a set schedule for things. Since DH has been working I notice I tend to skip lunch then start snacking around 3 when I'm hungry. Not good! I did day 26 earlier and I think I'll just pick up the March calendar when I finish the other set.
bk1 - The evening is the hardest part of the day for me! I always wake up really hungry, so I'm good about eating breakfast and a mid-morning snack. I usually get to lunch, and then time somehow starts flying and next thing I know it's bedtime and I haven't eaten since 1:00. H's new schedule doesn't help, either. Since he's not home for dinner anymore, I don't have him reminding me when it's time to eat.
Last week was good. Got some decent workouts in and was fairly active in general.
This week will be challenging because 1) conference food and 2) gym at this hotel is way too small to accommodate a group our size. I may try to get in some late night workouts, definitely won't be any machines readily available in the mornings.
Oh! And I already did a workout DVD this morning since I didn't have a super early flight
bk1- I love your idea for a home gym! I wish we had a treadmill! Maybe some day!
katespade- hope your hip feels better and you can figure out a gym schedule soon!
Last week was ok considering I only ran the last 3 days. I want to hit my 20 mile goal this week and already ran 5.5 miles today! Planning to run weds (already have a friend committed), Friday, and at least one day on the weekend!
Meal plan Today: bbq chicken and brown rice Tuesday: leftovers Wednesday: pasta Thursday: leftovers Friday: chicken and pork sausages, rice, and corn Saturday: ground turkey taco soup Sunday: TBD
I’ve been really stressed out lately so I need to find a new outlet. The fridge is where I’ve been going.
Meal plan: Tuesday: leftovers Wednesday: chili Thursday: pork roast, mashed potatoes, veggies Friday night-Sunday afternoon we may be away. So eating out, I will try to make healthier choices. Sunday: either chicken parm lasagna or grilled chicken.
Ran 5.25 miles yesterday and 6 miles today! Only need 3.25 more to reach mile initial goal but I am hoping for 4-6 miles on Friday and hopefully another 6 miles over the weekend.
My eating is crap but I'm getting slightly better. Let's just not talk about that right now. Lol.
I decided that I need to made a goal to do SOMETHING active every day. I pretty much just sit on this recliner. My weight is actually not as bad as it probably should be for how I eat but my stomach needs some work. It's definitely not just baby belly leftovers, it's my inactivity and crap diet.
So my reason for popping in here is to ask for recommendations - any good workouts on Netflix, Hulu, Prime? I'm specifically looking for yoga but I'd be willing to do something else low impact to start with. I can't really go for walks since even if it warms up a little it's sloppy and gross, so no thanks, haha. But I need to do something!
estrellita I've been doing yoga with Adrienne videos on youtube. I specifically got a fire stick for my TV to watch them. She has tons of videos and play lists to follow if you want.
Ran 6.5 today! 23.25 miles so far this week! We are expecting rain this weekend but hoping for one more run! Either way, I have already reached my goal this week!
