The weird date guy sent me a message that says "I kinda miss you" lol...oh honey!
I just sent my boss an email and then went over to explain "it's just to demonstrate the general level of asshattery." Then I told him I have to go work and air quoted work, lol! I love that he's cool with all the weirdness.
Oh wow doriswe, weird date guy definitely seems to be a bit much. LOL at your interaction with your boss!
I didn't go to dance last night because I was feeling exhausted and had a headache. I kind of wish I had, but I'm also glad I relaxed and did a lot of nothing. I acknowledged out loud yesterday that I'm pretty close to burnt out right now. We're all counting down the days until spring break. I have jury duty two days before it starts and then the day after that I'm attending a conference, so it'll be like an even longer break. I think I need to set aside some time and money for a pampering day during the break.
doriswe, yay for an awesome boss, and weird date guy is "kinda" weird, indeed. Who says that?
tiramisu, it sounds like a day of relaxation and pampering is in order
I got out of an all-day training today, so I am happily working from home AND my calendar is blocked off for this 9 hour training session, and I'm not going to update it.
Also, does anyone have a memory foam pillow? I just bought one and am wondering what the adjustment period should be? I have been struggling with headaches and I know my old pillow sucks so I got one over the weekend but now am feeling it in my shoulders/neck. Will it get better or does this also suck? I'm also looking at a memory foam mattress and this is making me wonder if that's a good idea?!?

My mattress is memory foam and we both love it (it's a costco one - Novaform or something).
My pillow is memory foam + some fiber fill (from Nest bedding) and it did indeed solve my neck pain. I think finding the right pillow height to fill the space between my ear and shoulder was probably more important than the fill material, but I like that it doesn't go flat during the night. I thought it was a ridiculous price to pay for a freaking pillow, but it had a guarantee on it, so I figured I might as well give it a try. I did not send it back SaveSave

doriswe, I bought this one back in 2017 after looking up best pillows for side sleepers. It does seem to make a difference, although it's a tiny bit high when I'm sleeping on my back (I switch throughout the night). I like that it's not just a memory foam pad, so it's still somewhat shape-able.

I had one that I loved for years. I got rid of it after the accident because it was making my neck pain and headaches worse, but now I wish I'd just stored it in the closet to try again as I healed. I haven't loved any of the pillows I've tried since.
This is what I got. I'm currently not loving it. They were hella cheap, so I should acknowledge you get what you pay for. I'm going to give it a week to see if it is just an adjustment period.

I tried that pack a few years ago and demoted them to the guest room after 1 night, lol. SaveSave
I am geeking out that Andrew Johnson (a meditation app coach recommended by tiramisu) requested to follow me on instagram. I listen to his app every night to fall asleep. How cool!

Not sure if you will remember, but the guy who told me that he had a crush on me while he was out of the country for 8 months has been messaging me again. I am not sure what he's up to. He knows that I am not interested in him. It's just odd timing.
I'm back to work today. Thank goodness Wegmans delivers! We ordered plain bagels, soup, saltines and gatorade yesterday, ahahaha.
Wegmans delivers now?!?!? Wonder if they'll deliver here LOL.
Yes, it's through instacart, which we finally have. I wouldn't use it routinely, as the deliver charge was $9.99, plus a service charge, plus a tip. However, being that neither one of us was setting foot out the door, it was a total lifesaver.

Why do coworkers find it so difficult to have direct conversations? Instead of coming to me about an email I sent, my coworker went to his boss who went to my boss who came to me. I can’t handle people doing that.
I’m boycotting work tonight. Looking forward to going to bed early and reading.

We have a service called shipt, it's like prime in that there's a membership fee after a trial period and there's free delivery for orders of $35 or more. It's really nice on busy weekends.

You can sign up for a membership with instacart, too. Or just pay the delivery charge. I got free delivery on my next order plus $5 off, so I'll definitely use it again. After that, though, I probably won't. I can see where it'd be awesome though, around the holidays or if you are hosting an event or if you're sick. P and I have never been sick at the same time so we've never been in the situation where neither one of us leaves the house.
