ewall- yay for a weekend away and for money wins!! Have fun this weekend!
Normal week for us! The first part of the week is supposed to be nice weather and then we are supposedly getting 3 days of rain. We need the rain badly but I hate being stuck inside.
Saturday we are taking my parents to pizza and drinks to say thank you for giving us the timeshare for vacation this summer.

It’s supposed to snow tonight into tomorrow. I’m tired of snow.
Boring week here.
The only plans for St. Patrick’s Day is I’m making corned beef and cabbage for dinner. We probably will just stay home and have a few people over for dinner.
Nothing really planned until this weekend. MIL wants to go out to eat at some point to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries (mine was the 1st, BIL the 13th, H the 19th, our anniversary the 23rd). So hopefully she can be clear this time about when and where so there's no drama
Nothing exciting happening here this week. I have a haircut/color/waxing appointment on Saturday. That's about it.
Today is CD3 so I'm in a lot of pain and I'm not sleeping and I'm cranky as shit. It doesn't help that H is unhappy and all I seem to do is make it worse. He pretty much wants nothing to do with me lately, and I don't blame him at all.
katespade: I'm sorry you and YH are having a rough time. AF is tough on relationships, at least on mine, for the reasons you listed. I know you guys are also TTC, and that's a whole other set of mind games that comes into play. I hope you guys are able to find some way to reconnect soon.
A very busy week here. Today we have an ENT appt for G, Wednesday I have an awards ceremony for work, Thursday I have a derm appt for me and I also need to pick up H's suit and my dress, and Friday I have a nail appt. Saturday we travel to my parents to set up shop there for the weekend. Saturday night is the rehearsal dinner for my friend's wedding, and Sunday is the wedding! And and evening at a hotel after the wedding Sunday. I'm exhausted already. My H (who is very Irish) is perturbed that our St. Patrick's Day will be spent at an Italian restaurant, lol.
Had an RE appointment this morning (that I had to bring E to, and I felt so bad about that). Then doctor appointment for him, dropped him off at his grandparents. Acupuncture later, then a meeting with my boss.

DH & I have a big date night planned for Sat! We have a free night stay at the Ritz-Carlton nearby that we won in the TTH auction and we are cashing it in. Our plan is to go out for an early-ish dinner (before the St Patrick's Day crazies are out...we are old) and then relax in the room eating snacks and watching basketball. Then in the morning we get breakfast too.
I'm going to make Irish soda bread probably Friday night and then we are cooking corned beef and cabbage but still not sure if we will do it on Sunday, or cook it on Sat and let me parents eat then and we have leftovers on Sunday.
Looking forward to March Madness later this week! Go Vols!!

Speaking of basketball suzv OMG I was so happy to hear Pitt fired Stallings. I hated that hire when they made it. I really wanted them to hire Brandin Knight and I wonder if he's going to get a look this time around. He was there the same 4 years as me and he was always my favorite, he's a really nice guy.
((katespade)) Sorry things are tense between you guys. I hate being at odds with H. I hope things go back to normal super soon. Could you plan a romantic home date? Candles? Nice dinner? Picnic? Stargazing?
I’m getting back into the swing of things this week. Back from vaca. Mom leaves tomorrow and I go back to work. I have a few lunch dates planned this week and getting back into my yoga studio!
All in all, great week minus hubs being gone at the academy!
H has a late appointment today, so I'm just hoping he makes it home for bed time.
I have a hair appointment Wednesday, and I'm hoping to get a pedicure while I'm out.
HoneySpider I'm actually excited to watch the tournament this year. I knew they weren't going to beat UK three times in a year, but they did not play well yesterday. I'm hoping that gives them extra motivation for the tournament. DS1 will be at school, so I should hopefully be able to watch the game.
Ugh started today with only 3.5 hours of interrupted sleep, and came home to a dog who had gotten sick in his crate. The entire house now smells like dog poop.
We paid off our credit cards, which is both good and bad. I am annoyed we let it get so high and grateful we were able to pay it all off from our savings. But still 5k is a ton for us. We need to pay it back ASAP.
Apparently I’m having a small party Saturday night for St Patrick’s Day. I invited one couple for dinner and that has turned into 10 people invited once I told H we are having them over. Now I have to plan a second option for dinner since not everyone likes corned beef and cabbage.
My boss fired my co-worker yesterday, so I may not be on here....for a while. I may have to take a break. Things will be busy. Hilarious how it went down. She ran in my office all excited yesterday and shut my door saying, "I'll tell you why in a little bit, but I have to shut your door. Stay in here until I tell you to come out." Then she ran off. She sent me an email, telling me it was OK to come out about 40 minutes later. Hilarious. She's been wanting to do it for a while.
So, I was planning on asking off a full 5 months in advance for our 10 year anniversary trip this week. She comes in my office all excited about going to see Jay-Z and Beyonce one day in August this year. I asked her what day. It falls in the same week as our trip. We're down to just the two of us in our department until we find a replacement for our Coordinator. I told her I was planning on submitting a PTO request for the same time. This is the email I got. Was I out of line? It's a Wed-Monday trip. Note that I haven't taken a vacation since I've been here for 5 years. Any time off has been sick time for me or the kids....and 2 days when we moved 4 years ago.
"I'm going to go ahead and grant this even though we'll be off the same time. In the future, please please please double check with me first prior to making travel arrangements. I'm typically pretty flexible but it's not always a given that I'll be able to approve all requests. Thanks."
MrsMB sounds like pretty standard passive aggressive control BS. I've gotten so many dumb emails like that. She knows she couldn't really deny your ask, but she doesn't want you to get "big ideas" that she doesn't own you. Bosses... Enjoy your trip!! What you are guys going to do?

I think she was more upset about the concert...ONE DAY. She literally planned it YESTERDAY with her girlfriends. This was on my to-do list to ask off for so she'd have 5 MONTHS NOTICE. We will have hired a Coordinator by then and we can have them here to provide coverage. She came back and admitted she was still upset about a flight our Coordinator booked but didn't ask her first about......good grief. She didn't want me to have paid down money and not be able to go. Like she would have denied my anniversary trip because she booked a single concert. I've been working on dates, childcare and etc. for a while.
She is super toxic.
Thank you. We're going to roam around Savannah and the surrounding beach.
I’m at the gym, I’m not really feeling it, but dh is here too so I can’t just leave. So now I’m walking on the treadmill to try and at least get my steps in.

H is officially quitting job 2. I hope they don't think he waited to quit on purpose. I know people do that a lot! I'm sad we're going to lose the discount! oh well, haha. I'm just happy that now we can carpool every day and I don't have to worry about getting both kids out the door alone! The extra money was nice but he could always go back at some point if needed.
I'm flipping exhausted. DH got called into work on Sunday so he ended up with 58.5 hours last week. In the last two days he has worked 21 hours. I guess this is suppose to be the new normal for the next couple of months - 50ish hours a week plus on call weekends. It will be awesome for us getting our finances in a more stable setting, just makes for a long week. I've been waking up early to see DH before he leaves for work and it is allowing me to have enough time alone in the morning I can drink a cup of coffee and do a yoga video before the girls wake up. I think it's been really good for me. Just getting use to our new normal I guess. Plus, I'm about to start my period so I'm sure that's contributing to the exhaustion.
I do have MIL set to babysit so I can meet up with BFF for pedicures next week. So excited!
I just cut the shit out of my finger with a freaking butter knife....like HOW??? How does that happen. I think the bleeding has slowed after 5+ minutes of direct pressure. It was a BUTTER knife wtf.
Anyways dentist for DS, laundry, and then we will see how things go. We have been working on installing a patio. Depending on the weather and H's work schedule we may try to finish it today.
MrsMB - Ugh. I used to have a control freak boss who would respond to requests like that. She was so controlling about the weirdest things. Like, our dept had to have coverage on holidays so we usually rotated who got to take which holidays off. I tried to take Thanksgiving off two years in a row and my boss told me no, even though I had a coworker who didn't want/need the time off and was planning to work it. My boss said she didn't care that the dept was covered, that it somehow still wouldn't be right for me to get the time off two years in a row. For no real reason, just because it was her rule and she needed it to be followed, even when it didn't make sense.
suzv, That's an awesome accomplishment! I feel like I can never get a system down because they change my schedule up each year. In the past four years I've been special ed, I've taught 3 sections of LA/ 3 LA with a different general ed teacher than the previous year/2 LA and 1 math/ and 3 science, 2 reading and 1 ss.
So....H has a job interview this week! He's being poached LOL But really, if you guys can cross your fingers, supposedly this place actually pays a living wage. And I'm super hoping they provide IF coverage as part of the insurance plan, otherwise I'm going to have to cancel next months RE consult.
I am spending tomorrow at an outlet mall with my mom, and I'm very excited. The ILs come for a visit next weekend, and I'm hoping that motivates us to finish some little house projects over the rest of this week. We have bare walls in some rooms and we've lived here for a year and a half. So embarrassing.
Also, our rental house goes up for sale finally this coming weekend. Pleeeeeease let it sell quickly!!
I’m taking a course tomorrow. Why did I agree to take a course that’s on day 3 of my 4 days off? Lol o well.
It’s a course on pediatric emergency’s, those are the hardest calls at work so I am looking forward to brushing up on my knowledge. (At least I’m getting paid to take it, and they are catering lunch.)
I’m home sick from work. I woke up with a sore throat and the start of a migraine. By the time I got to work I had a full blown migraine so my boss told me to go home. I took a Percocet and it’s much better but I’m tired lol.
I might bake some Irish soda bread today depending how I feel later. I need to straighten up the house too.
H has a phone interview today for the job he wants. I’m hopeful but now my anxiety is sky high that the possibility of moving 1200 miles away might become a reality.
